Have you ever thought of what kind benefits of feeding cats in Islam? Most of us may didn’t recognized easily about the benefit of providing a cat. Muslim believe by feeding them, they will get some blessing from Allah. It can be one of the small deeds with big rewards in Islam that you can do.
Sometimes we found some cats wandering around the house without knowing what they need. One of us may be feeding them but the others may not. As Muslims, commonly they already know that they will get so many benefits from feeding cats in Islam.
Speaking of it, here we have some of the benefits of feeding cats in Islam based on the Quran as one of the ways how to collect good deeds in Ramadhan. Let’s see some of them below!
1. Get a Multiple Reward
Muslim believe that they will get multiple rewards from Allah as one of the benefits of feeding cats in Islam. Feeding a cat is an act of good deed that refers to doing charity. It can be one of the reasons why we should strengthen Silaturahim in Islam which has almost the similar good deed as feeding a cat.
That is why most Muslims refer to it as an act of charity that they will get so many rewards from Allah. Indeed doing a good deed such as feeding the cat is one of the good deeds that every Muslim should follow.
It mentions in the Quran surah Al Baqarah verse 261 below.
مَثَلُ الَّذِيْنَ يُنْفِقُوْنَ اَمْوَالَهُمْ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ كَمَثَلِ حَبَّةٍ اَنْۢبَتَتْ سَبْعَ سَنَابِلَ فِيْ كُلِّ سُنْۢبُلَةٍ مِّائَةُ حَبَّةٍ ۗ وَاللّٰهُ يُضٰعِفُ لِمَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ ۗوَاللّٰهُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيْمٌ ٢٦١
“The parable of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like (those who sow) a seed (seed) that grows seven stalks, on each stalk, there are a hundred seeds. Allah multiplies (reward) for whom He wills. Allah is All-Wise and All-Knowing.” (QS 2:261)
2. Protected by Allah
Getting protection from Allah is one of the benefits of feeding cats in Islam. Muslim believe that they will be protected by Allah from hellfire if they do good deeds such as feeding cats. It can be one of the ways how to teach your kid about Islamic values.
Feeding a cat is an act that refers to doing a good deed by giving food to the needy one. Some stray cats commonly come to the house to find some food. That is why it is better to feed them so good things may come to you.
Such as mentioned in the Quran surah Al Insan verses 9-11 below.
اِنَّمَا نُطْعِمُكُمْ لِوَجْهِ اللّٰهِ لَا نُرِيْدُ مِنْكُمْ جَزَاۤءً وَّلَا شُكُوْرًا ٩ اِنَّا نَخَافُ مِنْ رَّبِّنَا يَوْمًا عَبُوْسًا قَمْطَرِيْرًا ١٠ فَوَقٰىهُمُ اللّٰهُ شَرَّ ذٰلِكَ الْيَوْمِ وَلَقّٰىهُمْ نَضْرَةً وَّسُرُوْرًاۚ ١١
“(They said,) “Indeed, we feed you only for the pleasure of Allah. We expect no reply and thanks from you. Verily, we fear (the punishment of) our Lord on a day (when) people with sour faces are full of trouble.” So Allah protected them from the evil of that day and gave them joy and joy.” (QS 76: 9-11)
3. Recognized by Allah
Recognized by Allah is one of the benefits of feeding cats in Islam as it is one of the good deeds done by Muslims to seek Allah’s blessing. Muslim believe that they do the deeds daily that will make Allah recognize them.
All Muslims want to be recognized by Allah for their good deed. They are truly aware that doing bad deeds will bring them into a terrible hell. Such as mentioned in the Quran surah Al Mudassir verses 42-44 below.
مَا سَلَكَكُمْ فِيْ سَقَرَ ٤٢ قَالُوْا لَمْ نَكُ مِنَ الْمُصَلِّيْنَۙ ٤٣ وَلَمْ نَكُ نُطْعِمُ الْمِسْكِيْنَۙ ٤٤
“What caused you to enter (hell) Saqar?” They replied, “In the past, we were not among those who prayed, and we (also) do not feed the poor.” (QS 74:42-44)
4. Saved by Allah
Saved by Allah from so many tormented hell is one of the benefits of feeding cats in Islam. Muslim believe that feeding the cat can be referred to as the act of doing a good deed by feeding the needy one.
That is why Muslim believe that they will be saved by Allah from the tormented hell in the hereafter life. Indeed the tormented is very terrible for Muslims who never do a good deed by feeding others who need one.
Such as mentioned in the Quran surah Al Haqqah verses 33-35 below.
اِنَّهٗ كَانَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِاللّٰهِ الْعَظِيْمِۙ ٣٣ وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلٰى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِيْنِۗ ٣٤ فَلَيْسَ لَهُ الْيَوْمَ هٰهُنَا حَمِيْمٌۙ ٣٥
“Indeed, he does not believe in Allah the Highest. Nor does he encourage (others) to feed the poor. So, today there is no one loyal friend for him here (hell).“ (QS 69:33-35)
5. Increase Faith
Increasing faith among the Muslim hearts is one of the benefits of feeding cats in Islam. As they do good deeds such as feeding the needy and starving cats, they will get so many blessings from Allah. It can be one of the tips on how to raise your kid in Islam while they learn about faith in Allah.
That makes them grateful people that increases their faith in Allah. Such as mentioned in the Quran surah Yasin verse 47 below.
وَاِذَا قِيْلَ لَهُمْ اَنْفِقُوْا مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللّٰهُ ۙقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لِلَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْٓا اَنُطْعِمُ مَنْ لَّوْ يَشَاۤءُ اللّٰهُ اَطْعَمَهٗٓ ۖاِنْ اَنْتُمْ اِلَّا فِيْ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيْنٍ ٤٧
“When it is said to them, “Spend some of the sustenance that Allah has given you,” those disbelievers say to those who believe, “Is it proper for us to feed those who, if Allah willed, He would have fed them? You really are in clear misguidance.” (QS 36:47)
So, there are some of the benefits of feeding cats in Islam based on the Quran. Most Muslim believe that feeding the cat refers to a good deed that is similar to giving food to others such as feeding a neighbor or even the needy one. May Allah gives you His blessing and mercy.
