For so many decades, Muslims believe that Allah has about 99 names that are commonly called the Asmaul Husna. It contains great names that have great meaning in every word.

Muslims believe by memorizing those 99 names of Allah, they will get more blessing from Allah along with their life and the hereafter. That is why so many Muslims try so hard to remember those names.

1. Get a Blessing Life

Muslims know better that they wish their life will always have a blessed from Allah. That will be great to start a new day with the blessing from Allah. By starting to memorize the 99 names of Allah, Muslims believe that they will get a reward from Allah.

Every reward from Allah grows the gratefulness sense in every Muslim’s heart as they make some Duas for protection from shirk. That will make them get a blessing life along with his life and the hereafter. Incline with the behavior of memorizing those names, it can be doing good deeds or some other way for Muslims.

Moreover, it mentions on the Quran surah Al A’raf verse 180.

وَلِلّٰهِ الْاَسْمَاۤءُ الْحُسْنٰى فَادْعُوْهُ بِهَاۖ وَذَرُوا الَّذِيْنَ يُلْحِدُوْنَ فِيْٓ اَسْمَاۤىِٕهٖۗ سَيُجْزَوْنَ مَا كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ ۖ – ١٨٠

“And Allah has Asma’ul-Husna (the best names), so ask Him by calling it Asma’ul-Husna and leave those who misinterpret His names. They will be rewarded for what they have done.” (7:180)

2. Be a Wiser Person

Muslims are taught to be wiser and humble people to face everything in this life. They believe by doing this behavior, they will get more blessings and awards from Allah. One of the good deeds that Muslims can do is memorizing the 99 names of Allah.

One of the 99 names of Allah is the Ar Rahman which means to whoever recite the words, they will get free from the heavy heart. Once they got free from this heavy heart, Muslims believe that they will be wiser to take some decision towards a thing.

It mentions in the Quran surah Al Isra verse 110.

قُلِ ادْعُوا اللّٰهَ اَوِ ادْعُوا الرَّحْمٰنَۗ اَيًّا مَّا تَدْعُوْا فَلَهُ الْاَسْمَاۤءُ الْحُسْنٰىۚ وَلَا تَجْهَرْ بِصَلَاتِكَ وَلَا تُخَافِتْ بِهَا وَابْتَغِ بَيْنَ ذٰلِكَ سَبِيْلًا – ١١٠

“Say (Muhammad), “Call on Allah or call on Ar-Rahman. With any name, you can call, because He has the best names (Asma’ul husna) and do not raise your voice in prayer and do not (also) lower it and seek a middle way between the two.”(17:110)

3. Strengthen Faith

Muslims believe that there is no god except Allah. It mentions in some verses in the Quran that it becomes their faith to put their trust in Allah. Moreover, Allah has 99 names that have so many beautiful meanings behind them.

Memorizing those 99 names of Allah, make Muslims have a stronger faith in Allah. It mentions in the Quran surah Taha verse 8 and Surah Al Hars verse 23 below. Reciting one of those names may help you to get some benefits of dhikr every morning.

اَللّٰهُ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَۗ لَهُ الْاَسْمَاۤءُ الْحُسْنٰى – ٨

“(He is) Allah, there is no god but Him, who has the best names.” (QS 20:8)

هُوَ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيْ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ ۚ اَلْمَلِكُ الْقُدُّوْسُ السَّلٰمُ الْمُؤْمِنُ الْمُهَيْمِنُ الْعَزِيْزُ الْجَبَّارُ الْمُتَكَبِّرُۗ سُبْحٰنَ اللّٰهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُوْنَ – ٢٣

“He is Allah, there is no god but Him. The Maharaja, the Most Holy, the Most Prosperous, the Protector of Security, the Keeper of Salvation, the Mighty, the Almighty, the Possessor of All Majesty, Glory be to Allah from what they associate.” (QS 59:23)

4. Get Guidance from Allah

As Muslims memorize the 99 names of Allah, they believe that they will get guidance from Allah in every way they take in life. Moreover, they will get the easier way in making decisions even in the hardest part.

Muslims believe by memorizing the 99 names of Allah, they will capable to do anything as long as it is in line with Allah’s rule. It mentions in the surah Al Hasyr verse 24 below as one of the benefits of learning Asmaul Husna.

هُوَ اللّٰهُ الْخَالِقُ الْبَارِئُ الْمُصَوِّرُ لَهُ الْاَسْمَاۤءُ الْحُسْنٰىۗ يُسَبِّحُ لَهٗ مَا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۚ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيْمُ ࣖ – ٢٤

“It is Allah Who Creates, Who Creates, Who Forms Forms, He has beautiful names. What is in the heavens and on the earth glorifies Him. And He is the Mighty, the Wise.” (QS 59:24)

5. Get a Mercy from Allah

To whoever believes in Allah while making right repentance towards their mistakes and never repeating the mistakes, may they will get Allah’s mercy. Such as mentions on one of Allah’s names from the 99 names of Allah the At Tawwab as one of the important ways of praising Allah in Islam.

By memorizing one of the 99 names of Allah, may Muslims be blessed by Allah’s mercy? Such as mentioned in the Quran surah At Taubah verse 118 below.

ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ لِيَتُوْبُوْاۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيْمُ ࣖ – ١١٨

“Then Allah accepted their repentance so that they would remain in their repentance. Verily, Allah is Most Accepting of repentance, Most Merciful.” (QS 9:118)
