For so many years, Muslim believe that finding a good husband in Islam should be based on their perceived faith in Allah. Other than that kindness, loving, and caring should be prior as well as they have some tips for being a good wife in Islam.

Righteousness is one of the signs of a good husband in Islam. As they have pious behavior toward Allah, it will reflect on their behavior on how to treat their wife. That will be a good point for the women they want to marry, which leads them to seek Allah’s blessing on how to stay Istiqamah.
Righteousness would bring a Taqwa to the husband that could bring their future family in a good way. Muslim believe that this kind of behavior is one of the signs of a good husband in Islam for women.
Most women Muslims believe that their husband is a reflection of their manner and behavior with some Dua of the newlyweds in Islam. Such as mentioned in the Quran surah Al A’raf verse 26 below.
يٰبَنِيْٓ اٰدَمَ قَدْ اَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ لِبَاسًا يُّوَارِيْ سَوْءٰتِكُمْ وَرِيْشًاۗ وَلِبَاسُ التَّقْوٰى ذٰلِكَ خَيْرٌۗ ذٰلِكَ مِنْ اٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُوْنَ ٢٦
“O, children and grandchildren of Adam, indeed We have sent down to you clothes to cover your nakedness and fur (as clothing to decorate yourself). (However,) the best clothing is righteousness. What are some of the signs (power) of Allah so that they always remember.” (QS 7:26)
Good manners and behavior are the signs of a good husband in Islam. As they have a good Taqwa of piousness towards Allah, they will have a good manner and behavior towards others as well as the part of how to make a marriage stronger in Islam.
Most Muslim believe that they should marry the one who has a good manner that reflects on their behavior towards others. Most Muslim women believe that their behavior will be reflected on their spouses as well.
Such as mentioned in the Quran surah Al Baqarah verse 187 below.
ۗ هُنَّ لِبَاسٌ لَّكُمْ وَاَنْتُمْ لِبَاسٌ لَّهُنَّ ۗ عَلِمَ اللّٰهُ اَنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ تَخْتَانُوْنَ اَنْفُسَكُمْ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَعَفَا عَنْكُمْ ۚ فَالْـٰٔنَ بَاشِرُوْهُنَّ وَابْتَغُوْا مَا كَتَبَ اللّٰهُ لَكُمْ ۗ
“They are clothes for you and you are clothes for them. Allah knows that you cannot restrain yourself, but He accepts your repentance and forgives you.” (QS 2:187)
Being a reasonable man is one of the signs of a good husband in Islam. As we know facing this cruel world sometimes the life of marriage comes with an upside-down world. That makes us need a man who is capable to think reasonably about everything that happens to them.
Being a reasonable man would bring their spouse to make the right decision. That makes both husband and wife think straight about everything that may crush their relationship.
Such as mentioned in the Quran surah An Nisa verse 128 below.
وَاِنِ امْرَاَةٌ خَافَتْ مِنْۢ بَعْلِهَا نُشُوْزًا اَوْ اِعْرَاضًا فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَآ اَنْ يُّصْلِحَا بَيْنَهُمَا صُلْحًا ۗوَالصُّلْحُ خَيْرٌ ۗوَاُحْضِرَتِ الْاَنْفُسُ الشُّحَّۗ وَاِنْ تُحْسِنُوْا وَتَتَّقُوْا فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ خَبِيْرًا ١٢٨
“If a woman is worried that her husband will be Nusyuz or be indifferent, the two can make true peace. Peace is better (for them), even though humans are by nature stingy. If you do good and take care of yourself (from Nusyuz and indifference) verily Allah is All-Aware of what you do.” (QS 4:128)
Being a respectable man is one of the signs of a good husband in Islam. A husband who always has respect towards their wife is a good sign of good manner which brings them to behave respectfully towards their spouse.
A respectable man would be capable to bring kindness and caring to their spouse. It brings them to behave and honor the woman they marry as their spouse to live for the rest of their life.
Such as mentioned in the Quran surah Ar-Rum verse 21 below.
وَمِنْ اٰيٰتِهٖٓ اَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُمْ مِّنْ اَنْفُسِكُمْ اَزْوَاجًا لِّتَسْكُنُوْٓا اِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُمْ مَّوَدَّةً وَّرَحْمَةً ۗاِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَّتَفَكَّرُوْنَ ٢١
“Among His (greatness) signs is that He created partners for you from (kinds of) yourselves so that you may find peace in them. He made between you love and affection. Verily in that, there are indeed signs (of Allah’s greatness) for a people who think.” (QS 30:21)
Having a sensibility of wealth is one of the signs of a good husband in Islam. Even though being a rich man is not the priority for husband criteria, having stable finances for a man is a must.
Most women need a stable before financially assured in their marriage relationship, which leads them to a wise person to manage their finances. Allah assured a married couple of this matter and sentenced the husband who has responsible for wealth matters.
Such as mentioned in the Quran surah An-Nur verse 32 below.
وَاَنْكِحُوا الْاَيَامٰى مِنْكُمْ وَالصّٰلِحِيْنَ مِنْ عِبَادِكُمْ وَاِمَاۤىِٕكُمْۗ اِنْ يَّكُوْنُوْا فُقَرَاۤءَ يُغْنِهِمُ اللّٰهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهٖۗ وَاللّٰهُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيْمٌ ٣٢
“Marry those who are still single among you and also those who are worthy (married) of your slaves, both male and female. If they are poor, Allah will empower them with His bounty. Allah is Extensive (His gift) and All-Knowing.” (QS 24:32)
