A believer believes that if Allah brings disaster is a sign that Allah loves His servant. With this disaster, we are tested, to what extent we are able to take the test given by Allah or not.
Also stated in the Quran that believers (in patience) that get disaster and sadness, their degree will increase beside Allah Almighty. Below here, Allah says in the Quran.
“And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient. Who, when disaster strikes them, say, “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him, we will return. Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the (rightly) guided.” (Verse 2: 155-157)
2. Sincere intentions
Before we do something we should arrange our intentions first. Be sincere in your intentions, so that whatever results will be obtained later it will not make us depressed.
Do this because of Allah Almighty, and only from Allah Almighty, we can get what we want. Below here, Allah says in the Quran.
“There is not upon the weak or upon the ill or upon those who do not find anything to spend any discomfort when they are sincere to Allah and His Messenger. There is not upon the doors of good any cause (for blame). And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.” (Verse 9: 91)
3. Take your wudu
The first thing after making an intention is to take a wudu. Wudu is an act in Islam as a cleanser of sins. By doing a wudu, it is correctly, you will be pure and clean from sin. Below here, The Messenger of Allah says in a hadith.
“If a Muslim or believer performs a wudu and then washes his face, then he will come out of his face. Every sin of view made by his eyes together with wudu’s water or with the end of the droplets of wudu. If he washed his hands, then every sin that his hands will do together with the wudu’s water or with the end of the droplets of wudu.
If he washed the two feet, then every sin caused by the steps of his feet together with wudu’s water or with the final droplets of wudu, until he finishes his wudu in a state of pure and clean from sins. “(Muslim)

4. Do the prayer
Praying can be a cure for depression in Islam. For this reason, Allah Almighty ordered Muslims to pray five times a day. If there is one person among Muslims does not keep his prayer, he cannot enter heaven.
Below here, The Messenger of Allah says in a hadith.Allah the Almighty says: ” Verily I oblige your people to pray five times a day, and I promise that whosoever safeguards the exact times I will put him in heaven, and whoever does not look after him does not get what I promise”. (Abu Daud)
5. Read the Quran

6. Remembering Allah Almighty

“And (remember) when your Lord proclaimed, ‘If you are grateful, I will surely increase you (in favor); but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.’ “ (Verse 14: 7)
8. Have a good prejudiced
What is meant by good prejudice to Allah? The explanation is if we see something and always think of good things, the heart will feel calm and life will be comfortable and blessed.

Below here Allah says in the Quran.“And your Lord says, “Call upon Me; I will respond to you.” Indeed, those who disdain My worship will enter Hell (rendered) contemptible.” (Verse 40: 60)
9. Do good deeds
Doing good deeds, what are the good deeds? Do a charity is a good behavior that we must do in the world. So, what are the good deeds in Islam?
There are worshiping both parents, reciting the Quran, giving charity, fasting, teach a goodness and others. Do this habit continuously so this will have great benefits for ourselves.“ Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer – We will surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward (in the Hereafter) according to the best of what they used to do.”. (Verse 16: 97)
10. Solidarity among brothers or sisters
Gathering with brothers or sisters in order to get closer to Allah Almighty is one of the remedies to overcome the depression of a Muslim. 11. Never stop to dua
As a faithful Muslim, don’t ever think that Allah will not grant our prayers. Do not despair and be weak when we pray. Allah has said in one of the verses of the Quran that man is not allowed to despair and be tired in praying. Below here Allah says in the Quran.“So do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are (true) believers.”. (Verse 3: 139)
12. Keep on walking
You have to sure to Allah that all the prayers we offer will surely be rewarded by Allah. Only Allah knows everything better, remembering that all difficulties will come easy later.
Below here Allah says in the Quran.“For indeed, with hardship (will be) ease. Indeed, with hardship (will be) ease. So when you have finished (your duties), then stand up (for worship). And to your Lord direct (your) longing.” (Verse 94: 5-8)
13. Surrender to Allah Almighty
As a servant of Allah, strive earnestly and trust to Allah. By trusting and trying, inshallah, our problems and burdens will be alleviated by Allah Almighty.
Below here is the hadith.“O Allah, my Lord, repair me my religion as a bastion of my affairs; fix it for me my world which is the place of my life; fix it for me my afterlife which is the place of my return! Make Allah, this life has added value to me in all goodness and make my death my freedom from all evil. (Muslim)
14. Be patience
Patience is something we have to do even though we are hit by a big problem. With us being patient, the problems we face can be overcome with much calmer. Remember, that Allah Almighty will always be with the people who Sabr. Below here Allah says in the Quran.“And they brought upon his shirt false blood. [Jacob] said, “Rather, your souls have enticed you to something, so patience is most fitting. And Allah is the one sought for help against that which you describe.”
( Verse 12: 18)
15. Beg forgiveness to Allah Almighty
Humans have never escaped from mistakes and sins, for that, we must do repentance and self-reflection, Have I done good deeds in this world? Repent sincerely, with repentance depression that you experience will be released by itself. Below here Allah says in the Quran.
Say, “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves (by sinning), do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.” (Verse 39: 53).
