Let’s get to know various Islamic days in a year! There is a special month calls Ramadhan. Ramadhan comes every once in a year and it becomes the most awaited month for every Muslim.
Why? Because Allah has promised to His believer that only in Ramadhan there will be so many good deeds. During the holy month of Ramadhan, the special thing to do is fasting. In the Quran surah Al Baqarah verses 183 and 184 mentions it.
“O, believers! It is prescribed upon you to fast as you are required of people before you so that you will be righteousness,”
“… and fasting is better for you if you knew.”
Keeping a Fast learn the Muslims for a restrain to the evil as they become closer to Allah. Besides keeping a fast, there are still so many good deeds in Ramadhan for gaining great reward from Allah.
It can come for simple things such as keep the five times of pray on time. And do not do things that are Makruh in fasting and its verses.
This time, we have some list of good deeds to do during Ramadhan that very easy to apply. As Allah mentions in the Quran surah Al An’am verse 160 that we should bring a good deed so we can get more rewards from Him.
“Whoever brings a good deed shall have ten times the like thereof to his credit, and whoever brings an evil deed shall have only the recompense of the like thereof, and they will not be wronged.”
During the Ramadhan, it is better to spend your day by the remembrance of Allah. By optimizing your day, you will collect more good deeds from Allah by doing it. Remember Allah can be one simple act to become more grateful. In the Quran surah, Al Baqarah verse 152 mention that:
“So Remember Me, I shall remember you. Be thankful to Me, and do not renege on Me.”
Islam taught Muslims to always care for each other such as care for your sister or brother, your neighbor, and your friends. Caring for each other also can do a simple way of giving rewards for breaking others fast.
Do more charity to people who need it the most or caring elder people around. By doing these, it represents out gratitude and we will get more benefits of being grateful.
In the Quran surah, Ali Imran verse 92 and surah Al Maidah verse 2 already mentions for Muslims that they should care for each other by giving a charity.
“You will never attain righteousness until you spend (give your treasure) from that which you love. And whatever you spend (give), indeed Allah is Knowing of it.”
“And please help you in (doing) virtue and piety, and do not help in committing sin and enmity. Fear Allah, truly, Allah is very severe in His torment.”
Laylatul Qadr’s moment is the most awaited moment in the last ten days of Ramadhan. Stand a pray at this moment take more time to become closer to Allah. Muslims believe in that odd night may come to a Laylatul Qadr.
And it is becomes the reason why Ramadhan is a noble month. Allah promise to His believers that the greatest rewards come in Laylatul Qadr. It already mentions in the Quran, surah Al Qadr verse 1-5
“Indeed We have revealed it (Qur’an) in the Night of Power. And what will explain to you what the Night of Power is? The night of Power is better than a thousand months. Therein descends the Angels and the Spirit (Jibreel) by Allah’s permission, on every errand: (they say) “Peace” (continuously) till the rise of Morning!”
Forgiving others as compliance for others is the important thing to do during Ramadhan. In Indonesia, forgiving others mark the end of Ramadhan at that time.
After that, they feel more relieved to achieve the Ramadhan goal. Besides forgiving others, the better way to do is forgive yourself. This will make your relationship with other more grateful. Besides, by forgiving yourself you will become closer to some ways to know yourself before knowing Allah and its verses.
In the Quran surah An-Nur verse 22 already mention about forgiving each other.
“And let not those who have strength and spaciousness among you swear that they (will not) give (help) to (his) relatives, the poor and those who emigrate in the way of Allah, and they should forgive and be tolerant. chest. Do you not like that God forgives you? And Allah is Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
In everyday life, it seems like we live with a lot of complain day by day. That is happening for everyone includes Muslims. In Ramadhan, they should do fewer complaints or no complaints at all. In the Quran already mention in surah Yusuf verse 86.
