Being steadfast is a must for every Muslim who wants to follow Allah SWT on the right path. There are many temptation, tribulations, and distraction that may shake our faith and so that we have always stand tall on our ground as Muslims. As for a faithful Muslim, Allah SWT has promised Jannah.
Here are how to keep steadfast in Islam for every Muslim:
1. Daily Supplication
Supplicating daily is a great lesson that Allah SWT teaches us. Through the 5 daily prayers, we meet Allah SWT and build our faith even stronger.
“It is You we worship and You we ask for help.” (1: 5)

2. Recite Quran and Studying It
“This is the Book about which there is no doubt, guidance for those conscious of Allah” (2: 2)
Quran contains everything a Muslim need for life. Study of what Allah SWT said as well as the meaning behind it.
“[…] Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby [the Qur’an] your heart….” (25: 32)
3. Studying the Prophet’s Life
Quran is not the only thing worth to be studied in Islam. The life of our Prophet, Muhammad SAW is also full of lesson to help us keep steadfast in Islam.
“And each [story] We relate to you from the news of the messengers is that by which We make firm your heart. And there has come to you, in this, the truth and an instruction and a reminder for the believers.” (11: 120)

4. Being Obedience to Allah SWT
“But if they had done what they were instructed, it would have been better for them and a firmer position [for them in faith].” (4: 66)
For all that we have learn form Quran and hadith, it’s important to put them into action. We have to remember the original creation of human being, it’s to obey Allah SWT.
“And those who strive for Us – We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good.” (Qur’an 29: 69)

5. Keeping Good Companions Only
Our friends are the mirror of who we are and a good companions influenced us in a good way and vice versa.
‘The example of a good pious companion and an evil one is that of a person carrying musk and another blowing a pair of bellows. The one who is carrying musk will either give you some perfume as a present, or you will buy some from him, or you will get a good smell from him, but the one who is blowing a pair of bellows will either burn your clothes or you will get a bad smell from him.” (Bukhari)

6. Repenting the Sins Constantly
Everyday in our lives we always commit sins so we must repent from it time to time.
“Allah, the Exalted, has said: ‘O son of Adam, I forgive you as long as you pray to Me and hope for My forgiveness, whatever sins you have committed. O son of ‘Adam, I do not care if your sins reach the heights of the heaven, then you ask for my forgiveness, I would forgive you. O son of ‘Adam, if you come to Me with an earth load of sins, and meet Me associating nothing to Me, I would match it with an earthload of forgiveness.”‘ (Tirmidhi)

7. Doing Self Reflection
Self reflection means we always looking up at ourselves, realizing our mistakes and becoming a better person everyday.
“Unquestionably, in the body there is a lump of flesh; if it is sound, the whole body is sound, and if it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt, and behold, it is the heart.” (Bukhāri and Muslim)

8. Following the Path of the Prophet
“My ummah will split into seventy-three sects, all of whom will be in Hell except one group.” They said: Who are they, O Messenger of Allaah? He said: “(Those who follow) that which I and my companions follow.” (Tirmidhi)
9. Balancing Life and Religion
When we have succeed in balancing the real life and religion, it’s when we reach steadfastness. We should always walk in the middle, living a balanced life between.

To increase the faith, we should study about Islam more so that our love will always grow.
“This world is cursed, and all that is in it, except for the zikr (remembrance) of Allah and all that is related to it, a scholar and a student of knowledge.” (Tirmidhi)
11. Making Quran the Source of Strength
A true Muslims should make Quran as their one and only source of strength. Why the Quran? It contained guidance for Muslims and helps them to understanding about their surrounding problems in a more correct way so that they can judge on things properly. Besides, Muslims could make a contact with Allah SWT and purifying their souls from its content.
12. Always in Remembrance of Allah
The rightest way how to keep steadfast in Islam is by always remember Allah through dhikr. Dhikr has proven its power to help Prophet Yusuf when he face the temptation of a beautiful woman. It means that keeping Allah by our side all the time will come as a big help to us.
13. Strive to Follow the Right Path
The hardest thing to do as a Muslim is how to keep walking on the right path no matter what. It means that we have a strong faith to Allah SWT and the Prophet, to distinct themselves from those who are obedience to Allah.
