How To Perform Ruqyah on Yourself?

Have you ever heard about Ruqyah? You may be wondering about some rituals to fights against some evil spirits. In Islam, Ruqyah refers to some practices that intend to the healing process involving some certain Quranic verses.

Doing Ruqyah its self in Indonesia becomes the habit of those who believe in a work of Allah’s cures. There are only a few Muslims in Indonesia that do not believe in those kinds of activities such as on Java island.

Ruqyah commonly can be both done by someone who has the expert on it or even by yourself. You can do following the basic instruction of the Ruqyah to heal yourself as well as one of the ways on how to protect yourself from black magic in Islam.

Here we have some of the methods on how to perform Ruqyah on yourself. We summarized some of them that come through from the Quranic verses based. Now, check them out below!

1. Recite and Blowing by Your Cupped Hands

Muslims believe that the Propet Muhammad used to recite the Quran surah Al Ikhlas (QS 112: 1-4), Al Falaq (QS 113: 1-5), and An Nas (QS 114: 1-6) by cupped His hands. After that, he will be blowing and wipe his hands through all of His body.

Those practice looks simple and easy than you think so that you can try it regularly before going to sleep. Moreover, these last three surahs in the Quran are well known to give you protection and healing from any devil attacks. You can even make Duas for protection from Shirk by those three surahs.

It is mentioned in the Quran surah Al Isra verse 82 below.

“And We send down from the Qur’an (something) which is an antidote and a mercy for those who believe, while for those who do wrong (the Qur’an) it will only increase losses.” (QS 17:82)

2. Blowing Over The Places You Feel the Pain

So far, the Quran surah An Nas (QS 113: 1-6) and Al Falaq (QS 114: 1-5) become the important surahs involve in a healing process such as the Ruqyah. You can try it as well by yourself, so with great faith so may Allah will heal you.

It also mentions in the Quran surah Fussilat verse 44 below.

And if We made the Qur’an as a reading in a language other than Arabic they would have said, “Why are the verses not explained?” Is it appropriate (the Qur’an) in a language other than Arabic being (the messenger), the Arabs? Say, “The Qur’an is a guide and a healer for those who believe. And those who do not believe in their ears there is a blockage, and (the Qur’an) it is darkness for them. They are (like) people who are called from far away.” (QS 41:44)

3. Recite Ayatul-Kursi

For so many reasons, within the true meaning behind the Quran surah Al Baqarah verse 255, Muslims will choose this verse for the healing process. Whether for the fight against the devil, possession, or protection, most Muslims choose to recite this verse as one of the ways on how to stay Istiqomah in Islam.

Allah, there is no god but Him. The Living One, Who continuously takes care of (His creatures), does not sleep and does not sleep. To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is in the earth. No one can intercede on His side without His permission. He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they know nothing of His knowledge except what He wills. His seat covers the heavens and the earth. And He does not find it difficult to maintain both, and He is Most High, Most Great.” (QS 2:255)

4. Supplication using Honey Bee

Honey bee proves that it has so much good nutrition that is capable of the healing process for those who get sick. Make supplication and drink the honey can be one of your choices to do the Ruqyah by yourself.

It mentions in the Quran surah An Nahl verse 69 for the benefits of the honey bee as one of the values of the Quran surah An Nahl.

“Then eat of all (kinds of) fruit and then follow the path of your Lord which has been made easy (for you).” From the belly of the bee is a drinking (honey) of various colors, in which there is healing medicine for humans. Indeed, in that, there is a sign (of Allah’s greatness) for those who think.” (QS 16: 69)

5. Specific Supplication for Your Ruqyah

Muslims believe that another way to make your Ruqyah works is by doing specific supplication such as making Duas avoid anger in Islam. You can recite this supplication that was taken by the Hadith of Muslims.

“In the name of Allah I perform Ruqyah upon myself (seeking divine cure) from everything that harms me and from the evil of every soul, or every envious eye, may Allah cure me.” (Hadith of Muslim, no. 2186)
