Such as mentioned in the Quran surah An-Nisa verse 36, doing good deeds as a Muslim and trying to be kind toward others can be one of the ways how to strengthen Silaturahim in Islam. Muslims can do some of the types of Sadaqah in Islam in a way to strengthen the Silaturahim.
وَاعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكُوْا بِهٖ شَيْـًٔا وَّبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ اِحْسَانًا وَّبِذِى الْقُرْبٰى وَالْيَتٰمٰى وَالْمَسٰكِيْنِ وَالْجَارِ ذِى الْقُرْبٰى وَالْجَارِ الْجُنُبِ وَالصَّاحِبِ بِالْجَنْۢبِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيْلِۙ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ اَيْمَانُكُمْ ۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَنْ كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُوْرًاۙ – ٣٦
“And worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him. And be kind to your parents, relatives, orphans, poor people, near and far neighbors, friends, ibn Sabil and enslaved people you have. Indeed, Allah does not like those who are arrogant and proud,” (QS 4:36)
Giving charity is one of the ways how to strengthen Silaturahim in Islam. Giving charity makes the ties among Muslims becomes stronger from time to time. Another way of doing charity, Muslims can do some of the types of Zakat in Islam in order to make a charity.
It makes Muslims know each other so well without making differentiation between them. It mentions in the Quran surah An Nisa verses 39-40 below.
وَمَاذَا عَلَيْهِمْ لَوْ اٰمَنُوْا بِاللّٰهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِ وَاَنْفَقُوْا مِمَّا رَزَقَهُمُ اللّٰهُ ۗوَكَانَ اللّٰهُ بِهِمْ عَلِيْمًا – ٣٩
اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يَظْلِمُ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ ۚوَاِنْ تَكُ حَسَنَةً يُّضٰعِفْهَا وَيُؤْتِ مِنْ لَّدُنْهُ اَجْرًا عَظِيْمًا – ٤٠
“And what (objection) for them if they believe in Allah and the Last Day and spend some of the sustenance that Allah has given them? And Allah is aware of their condition. Indeed, Allah will not wrong anyone even if it is as big as a Dzarrah, and if there is a virtue (as small as a Dzarrah), Allah will surely multiply it and give a great reward from His side.” (QS 4:39-40)
Avoiding being greedy to apply in society is one of the ways how to strengthen Silaturahim in Islam. By trying to avoid being greedy, Muslims can hold their desires capable of making them such wasteful people.
Moreover, it mentions in the Quran surah Al Isra verses 26-27 which could make Muslims get far away from having a way how to increase wealth in Islam.
وَاٰتِ ذَا الْقُرْبٰى حَقَّهٗ وَالْمِسْكِيْنَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيْلِ وَلَا تُبَذِّرْ تَبْذِيْرًا – ٢٦
اِنَّ الْمُبَذِّرِيْنَ كَانُوْٓا اِخْوَانَ الشَّيٰطِيْنِ ۗوَكَانَ الشَّيْطٰنُ لِرَبِّهٖ كَفُوْرًا – ٢٧
“And give due to close relatives, also to the poor and people on the way; and do not squander (your wealth) extravagantly. Verily, those who are wasteful are brothers of Satan, and Satan is a very disbeliever in his Lord.” (QS 17:26-27)
Forgive each other is one of the ways how to strengthen Silaturahim in Islam. Forgiving each other means that Muslims try their best to fix some of the problems they’ve got through their daily life. Muslims can learn how to forgive someone and forgive their self first before others.
It will strengthen the Silaturahim ties, among others, significantly. Such is mentioned in the Quran surah Al Anfal verse 1 below.
يَسْـَٔلُوْنَكَ عَنِ الْاَنْفَالِۗ قُلِ الْاَنْفَالُ لِلّٰهِ وَالرَّسُوْلِۚ فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَصْلِحُوْا ذَاتَ بَيْنِكُمْ ۖوَاَطِيْعُوا اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗٓ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُّؤْمِنِيْنَ – ١
“They ask you (Muhammad) about (the distribution of) the spoils of war. Say, “The spoils of war belong to Allah and the Messenger (according to Allah and His Messenger), so fear Allah and improve relations between yourselves, and obey Allah and His Messenger if you are believers.” (QS 8:1)
Help each other among Muslims is one of the ways how to strengthen Silaturahim in Islam. It makes the family ties and even friendship ties bond strengthen within no time.
Helping each other shows that Muslims need each other in social life such as lending money under the Islamic law of taking interest in lending money. Helping each other among Muslims will strengthen the Silaturahim in Islam, whether for a close or a long day.
It mentions in the Quran surah An Nahl 90 below.
اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَأْمُرُ بِالْعَدْلِ وَالْاِحْسَانِ وَاِيْتَاۤئِ ذِى الْقُرْبٰى وَيَنْهٰى عَنِ الْفَحْشَاۤءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ وَالْبَغْيِ يَعِظُكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُوْنَ – ٩٠
“Verily, Allah commands (you) to do justice and do good, to give help to relatives, and He forbids (to do) abominable acts, evil deeds, and enmity. He teaches you so that you can take lessons.” (QS 16:90)
