Islam really upholds the cleanliness. How come? One of the conditions where a worship is accepted in Islam such as prayer is with wudu’ or purify first. Even in a day, a Muslim must purify five times.
Wudu’ is intended to clean impure or dirt that is on the body. However, sometimes there are impure that are difficult to be cleaned so that it is forgiven in Islam. Because in fact, Islam is a religion that make it easy and does not burden the followers in worship. The following are 6 kinds of impure that are forgiven in Islam and its verses:
1. The Splash of Urine
One of impure that can be forgiven is the splash of urine. The splash of urine that has spread and is difficult to be seen with eyes can be forgiven in Islam. This applies to the light, heavy, or medium impure.
However, this only applies on a little splash and does not spread on a wide area. If the splash is too much, we should change the clothes or clean it all.
As it can be seen in the book of Al-Ikhtiyar li ta’lilil Mukhtar:
والمانع من الخفيفة أن يبلغ ربع الثوب
“And what is forbidden from the light impure is until a quarter of the clothes.”
It is confirmed again on Khatib Asy-Syarbini. Al-Iqna’fi Hilli alfadzi Abi Syuja’. 1/91,
“There is also what is not seen by the eyesight, then it is forgiven even though it is najis mughalladzah because that is difficult to be avoided.”
It is also the same by imam Ibnu hajar Al Haitami:
مَا لَا يُدْرِكُهُ الطَّرْفُ لَا يُنَجِّسُ وَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ مُغَلَّظٍ
“Anything that is not seen, then it is not impure even though it is mughalladzah.” (Ibnu hajar Al Haitami. Tuhfatul Muhtaj. 2/135)
2. Blood and Pus
The next impure that is forgiven is blood and pus that come from animals or other people. This applies if it is only a little blood or pus. For example, in the blood of butchers that is splashed on their clothes.
Abu Ja’far At-Thahawi from Hanafiah said:
وإذا كان في ثوب المصلي من الدم أو القيح أو الصديد أو الغائط أو البول، أو ما يجري مجراهن من النجاسة أكثر من قدر الدرهم: لم تجزه صلاته
“And if there is blood or pus or vomits or large dirt or urine, or that is similar with it from impure things that are larger that a dirham coin, on the clothes of people who pray: then it is not allowed (haram) to do the prayer.” (Imam AL Jishoh Al hanafi. Syarhu Mukhtasor At Thahawi. 2/32)

3. A Lot of Blood and Pus
If it is on previously that is forgiven is a little blood or pus, then the next is a lot of blood and pus. This impure is forgiven if it comes from ourselves and it is not forced to come out. For example, on an open injury.
Al Hasan Al Bashri said,
“The Muslims (who are the companions) used to pray in injury.” (It is mentioned by Bukhari in mu’allaq (without sanad) in the valid book)
4. Animal Excrement
Animal excrement that is forgiven here is animal excrement that sticks on the grains that are processed to be consumed. If the excrement sticks accidentally and it is only a few, then it is okay.
It is also the same with the fish excrement in the water. The fish excrement in the river will not affect the purity of the river water. If such the animal excrement can not be forgiven, then all rivers in Mecca and Medina of course can not be used.
5. Dead animals whose blood does not flow
Dead animals whose blood does not flow also belong to the impure that is forgiven. For example, on flies, bees, and ants that get in to a drink. Even the Prophet suggests to dip all of the flies’ body if a tea is alighted by flies. As the words of the Prophet,
“If there is a fly that falls in to your drink then sink it, then lift (that fly from the drink), because on one of its wings, there is a disease, and on the other wing, there is medicine.” (Hadith Al-Bukhari)
Some people may find this disgusting, but a study that was conducted by a group of Muslims in Egypt showed the truth of this hadith.
It is known that flies carry many bacteria and viruses in the left wing. These bacteria and viruses that will be spread through everything that they alight. However, apparently they also have its own protection against these bacteria and viruses on the right wing.
This is that will protect itself from bacteria and viruses that are in the body. The right wing contains anti-bacteria and viruses that will neutralize the food or drink that they have contaminated.

6. The Vomits of A Baby
The vomits of a baby because of satiation or vomit can also be forgiven. However, keep in mind that this only applies on a baby that has not eaten and only relies on breast milk as the food. This problem is treated the same as the urine which is supervision enough without it needs to be washed until it is clean.
The Prophet shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said,
“The urine of a boy is splashed, while the urine of a girl is washed. (This is done as long as both of them have not consumed the food. There is also when they have consumed the food, then both must be washed).” (Valid, the narration of Ahmad in Al-Musnad (I/76), Abu Dawud (no. 377), Tirmidzi (no. 610), Ibnu Majah (no. 525). There is also the lafadz in parentheses that is the narration of Abu Dawud (no. 378))
Those were 6 kinds of impure that are forgiven in Islam and its verses. Even so, at least we must keep always pay attention to the cleanliness of the clothes, especially when we are going to pray.
