1. Left five-a-day prayer

 فَخَلَفَ مِنْۢ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ اَضَاعُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاتَّبَعُوا الشَّهَوٰتِ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا ۙ

“Then, come after them (generations) substitutes who neglect prayer and follow lust. They will eventually get lost. “(QS 19:59)

2. Giving haram sustenance

A haram sustenance will lead the family to consume haram food and everything behind. Instead of giving haram sustenance, it is better to give the wife permissible sustenance that is allowed by Islamic rule. These acts can be considered a sign of a good husband in Islam. 

Consuming something unlawful food and buying something from haram sustenance is hated by Allah. It is against the Islamic rules based on the Quran surah Al Baqarah verse 188 below.

وَلَا تَأْكُلُوْٓا اَمْوَالَكُمْ بَيْنَكُمْ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَتُدْلُوْا بِهَآ اِلَى الْحُكَّامِ لِتَأْكُلُوْا فَرِيْقًا مِّنْ اَمْوَالِ النَّاسِ بِالْاِثْمِ وَاَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ ࣖ

“Do not eat wealth among you in a vanity way and (do not) bring (business) wealth to the judges with the intention that you can eat some of the wealth of other people by sin, even though you know.” (QS 2:188)

3. Slaughtering animals against Islamic rule

Slaughtering animals that are against the Islamic rule is one of the abstinence of the husband when the wife is pregnant according to Islam. It would lead the husband to do bad deeds that hate by Allah.

اُحِلَّ لَكُمْ صَيْدُ الْبَحْرِ وَطَعَامُهٗ مَتَاعًا لَّكُمْ وَلِلسَّيَّارَةِ ۚوَحُرِّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ صَيْدُ الْبَرِّ مَا دُمْتُمْ حُرُمًا ۗوَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ الَّذِيْٓ اِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُوْنَ

“It is lawful for you to hunt sea animals and food (from) the sea as pleasure for you and for those who are on a journey, and it is forbidden for you (to catch) wild game as long as you are in ihram. Fear Allah to whom only you will be gathered.” (QS 5:96)

4. Avoid adultery

Adultery is the worst attitude that hates by Allah the most. Avoiding adultery can be considered an important role of a husband in Islam. Avoiding adultery is a good deed that most Muslims should follow, including a husband with a pregnant wife. There is no mercy from Allah for Muslims who doing adultery. It is already mentioned in the Quran surah Al Isra verse 32 below.

وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا الزِّنٰىٓ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ فَاحِشَةً ۗوَسَاۤءَ سَبِيْلًا

“Do not approach adultery. Verily (adultery) is an abomination and the worst path.” (QS 17:32)

5. Speak harshly

Speaking harshly It is considered a bad deed that brings bad luck and is far from Allah’s blessing. Speaking harshly to a husband with a pregnant wife will lead the negative emotion for the wife. It would affect the baby as well as the baby can feel the emotion of their mother directly.

Moreover, speaking harshly is already forbidden by Allah. It is mentioned in the Quran surah An Nisa verse 148 below.

لَا يُحِبُّ اللّٰهُ الْجَهْرَ بِالسُّوْۤءِ مِنَ الْقَوْلِ اِلَّا مَنْ ظُلِمَ ۗ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ سَمِيْعًا عَلِيْمًا

“Allah does not like bad words (spoken) openly, except by people who are wronged. Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.” (QS 4:148)
