Read The Qur’an likes studying about Islam. Looking for about any problem solves in our life. But not least people love to listen if someone reads The Qur’an. Many people feel getting tremble of their soul when listening The Qur’an.
If reading The Qur’an involves the eyes, brain, mouth and ears also the heart, then listening to the recitation of The Qur’an does not need to involve the eyes and a little involving the mouth. Just need to optimize ear, brain and heart.
In surah Al-A’raf [7] verses 204, Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala, says :
“And when it is recited by The Qur’an, hear it carefully, and watch it quietly for your mercy”.
In this verse, Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala again shows His mercy. Only by listening to The Qur’an, then we will get Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala’s mercy. A huge reward.
In the hadith narrated by Imam Ahmad, The Messenger of Allah said,
“whoever hears a verse of The Qur’an, will be recorded for him a virtue that will multiply. And whoever reads it, then for him the light on the Day of Judgement”.
One verse of The Qur’an being heard, will be given a double favor. Compare with the kindness we will get when listening to a pop song, for example? Which one do we prefer ? songs pop or murottal Al-Qur’an ?
- The Goodness Hearing The Qur’an For Health
Based on the statements presented in the Qur’an, Ahmad al-Qadhi conducted research in Florida, USA about the influence of the Qur’an for those who listen to it.
The study was carried out by reading aloud the verses of the Qur’an to 3 groups of people, ie Arabic-speaking Muslim groups, non-Arabic speaking Muslims and non-Muslims who can not speak Arabic.
From the results of this study concluded that only by listening to recitations of the Qur’an, the three groups are able to feel the physiological changes are great, such as decreased depression, sadness, and rejected various diseases.
In conducting his research, al-Qadhi uses the help of cutting-edge electronic equipment to detect heart rate, muscle endurance, and skin resistance to electricity.
The discovery was then presented at a seventeenth annual conference at the University of Islamic Medicine in northern America held in the city of Sant Louis in the Mizore region, in August 1984. This finding shows that the Qur’an reading had a major effect (up to 97% in giving tranquility and healing illness. [AdSense-B]
The study was corroborated by research conducted by Muhammad Salim published at Boston University, USA. In his research, Muhammad Salim used 5 volunteers consisting of 3 men and two women. The five people did not understand Arabic at all and they were not told that what was to be heard was the Qur’an.
The study was conducted as many as 210 times which is divided into 2 sessions, which is reciting the Qur’an in spell and reading Arabic which is not from Al-Qur’an.
From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the respondents (volunteers) get a calm up to 65% when listening to the recitation of the Qur’an and get the tranquility only 35% when listening to Arabic that is not from the Qur’an.
Dr. Ahmed E. al-Qazi also conducted a study whose results show that high blood pressure will decrease during listening to the Qur’an reading, heart rate becomes normal, and body muscle tension decreases. This influence does not only happen to the Muslims, but also to people who are not Muslim.

2. Can Heal Damaged Brain Cells
viruses and germs can vibrate and are severely affected by the sound vibrations, especially the sound of chanting of the Qur’anic verses, this sound stops viruses and germs and at the same time increases the activity of healthy cells and generates disturbed programs that are inside to be ready against viruses and germs.
The chant of the holy verses of the Qur’an creates a group of frequencies that reach the ear and then move on to the brain cells and influence it through the electromagnetic fields of this frequency generated in these cells.
The cells will respond to the fields and modify their vibrations, the change in vibration is what we feel and understand after experiencing and repeating.
This is the natural system that God created in brain cells, this is a system of natural balance; this is what God says to us in the Holy Quran:
“Then face your face straight to [Allah’s] religion; the fithrah of God who created man according to the fithrah. There is no change in the fithrah of God. That is the righteous religion; but most humans do not know. “(Ar-Rum: 30)

The first group is a group of Muslims who understand Arabic. The second group is a Muslim who can not speak Arabic and the third group is non-Muslim. The results obtained from this study are that they show a positive physiological changes, such as depression.
3. Positive Influence On Organ Health
The second benefit is also based on the research done by Dr. Ahmed E. Al-Qazi. His research shows that during hearing the recitation of the Qur’anic verses, the tension of the muscles of the body decreases and the heart rate also becomes normal.
4. Good For The Fetus
Once we know how the effect of listening to chant verses of the Qur’an for the fetus is time we know what the benefits. Benefits of listening to the Qur’an for the fetus is a positive effect both for mental growth and brain intelligence.
When the pregnant mother listening to chanting verses of the Qur’an Al Quran then the emotional condition of the mother will be stable and calm.
In such stable psychological conditions, it will affect the emotional state in the fetus. So if during pregnancy and mother in a state of stress or unstable emotions, the possibility of the baby at birth will experience emotions that are not good.
When listening to the verses of the Qur’an both mother and fetus will be in the phase of tranquility, it is very good for the growth of fetal emotions and psychology. In addition, the frequency generated from the verses of the Qur’an will also stimulate the fetal brain to be more active.
So if a young mother wants to have a child who is personally good and intelligently satisfying, she can regularly listen to Quran sounds during pregnancy.
5. Good For Baby
During the first two years the child experienced the biggest explosion in terms of brain development and the relationship between cells (connections).
Then a year later the brain has more than 300 trillion connections, a condition that is difficult to occur in adulthood, especially old age. Hence the development of children’s experts called the age of a toddler as a golden age for the development of child intelligence.
Indeed, if a parent does not take advantage of this opportunity by helping out the back, it will not affect the child’s brain’s ability to weave neurons, as the opportunity to strengthen the wide-open brain connections during childhood. But of course it would be better if the parents also actively help.
The brain has grown long before the baby is born.He has begun to work with the result being a priority sensing seed. Generally hearing first. So, during that time it is imperative to always present a conducive environment and good for brain development.
The loss of this environment will only make the brain suffer and idle which in turn affects the level of intelligence. In regard to efforts to improve the Muslim personality, babies should have been read Al-Qur’an recitations since in the womb.
So, if there is a suggestion to pregnant mothers to diligently reading the Qur’an before delivery, there is a scientific basis as well. The better and true the reading, including the song, the better the result.
The goal, of course, is not to invite the baby to understand the substance or meaning of the content of the verses of the Qur’an, but to strengthen the capability / concentration of the baby’s brain. So it will be easier he memorized the verses of the Qur’an and its translations when it entered the period of study.
6. Good For The Brain
Dr. Al Qadhi succeeds in proving simply by listening to the recitation of Qur’anic verses, a Muslim, whether Arabic or non-Arabic, can sense enormous physiological changes.Decreased levels of depression, sadness, gain peace of mind, ward off various diseases is a common influence felt by the people who became the object of his research.
The discovery of the psychiatrist is not haphazard. His research is supported with the help of the latest electronic equipment to detect blood pressure, heart rate, muscle endurance, and skin resistance to the flow of electricity. From the test results he concluded, reading the Qur’an influential to 97% in giving birth to peace of mind and healing disease.
7. The Best Relaxation Effect Reduce Stress
At the time of reading the Qur’an, the brain has a good relaxation so as if it was in a state of sleep. In these conditions, the cell then gives a signal to the glands in the body to secrete hormones. This condition is experienced by someone when doing therapy.
8. Development On Children
Stage development of infancy (since birth-2 years)In this stage personal development is dominated by feelings. Feelings of pleasure and displeasure always evolve because of the stimulant environment.
In this case the chanting of verse of Al-Qur’an is very influential on the feelings of children, when children listen to the verses of the Qur’an he will have a happy feeling.
This is also pointed out by Dr. Nurhayati in his research, “babies aged 48 hours later heard verses from the Qur’an from tape recorders show a smile response and become more calm”.
- Stage development of childhood (2-12years)
In this stage, the child’s personal development begins with the development of the child’s sense functions to make observations.
- Stages of development of pre-adolescent (12-15 years)
At this stage the development of the intellectual reasoning function of the dominant child. Thus, the stimulation of the Qur’anic verses that are heard when the child is still in the womb is very influential, and the results will appear at this stage.
The more often the children hear the verses of the Qur’an since in the womb until this stage will be the better the intellectual development and emotional development of children.
- Stage period of adolescent development (15-20 years)
At this stage, in the Qur’an is also called the period of “adultery” (self-adorned). At this stage the child becomes interested in the opposite sex.
So, if the child has a noble character with the provision of religious knowledge from parents, then the child can control himself the right path. Therefore chant verse Al-Qur’an will be able to melt the child’s heart so that children can easily be lecture by parents to become a better figure.
- Maturation period (after age 20 years)
At this stage, supplied with verses of Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala/ verses of the Qur’an, he can make the verses of the Qur’an as a guide in his life. This is because parents are able to cultivate the child as a good person.
9. Overcoming Babies Often Crying
Parents do not need to be sad and panicky when their children cry often. Look for the cause, because every problem or disease there must be a cure. Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala says:Actually after the pain there is ease. (Surat ash-Syarh [94]: 6)
The Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said:
“Allah does not bring down the disease but He also lowered the medicine.” (Narrated by al-Bukhori 19/89)
One way to calm a fussy and crying child is through prayer. We recommend this prayer you keep reading when the child is crying. Whenever done, blow on the crown of the child.
This prayer we quoted from the work of Muhyiddin Abu Zakaria Yahya bin Nafawi al-Nawawi al-Dimasyqi, Al-Adzkar al-Muntakhabah min Kalaami Sayyid al-Abrar, (Surabaya: Kharisma, 1998), p. 302:
بسم الله الذي لا يضر مع اسمه شيء في الأرض ولا في السمآء وهو السميع العليم
Bismillâhilladzî lâ yadlurru ma’a ismihi syaiun fil ardli wa lâ fis samâ`i wa huwas sami’ul ‘alim (reads three times)
“By calling God’s asthma, the Essence which is with His asthma, will not be able to harm anything that exists on earth and the heavens. He is the Hearer, the Knower. “
10. Benefits For The Body
Islamic medical doctors say the experiments conducted by Dr Al-Qadhi prove that there is a 97% positive effect on experimental subjects who listen to readings from the Qur’an compared to those who only listen to Arabic texts.Other research on the effects of chanting the Qur’an brought by researchers from Japan named Dr. Masaru Emoto.
As High Existence reported, Dr Emoto shows a result of observations related to changes in water when read out prayer, played music, and in certain environments.
Dr Emoto then invited a photographer to photograph his findings. When it turns out that water is read out prayer and good words have a shape like snow crystals.
While the results by using inappropriate words such as ‘I will kill you’, even when spoken by the dictator ‘Hitler’, the water molecule looks irregular. It turns out that the words spoken on the water have the same impact as the polluted environment and also the pollution free.
Water with a polluted environment appears to have an abstract shape, whereas the water in clean environments has the same molecule when it is recited.
This suggests that good speech may affect the change in the shape of a previously negative-looking molecule into a more positive one. The thing we need to remember is that most of our bodies, 70% of which are fluids.
11. Heal From Sick
The explanation of the benefits of the Qur’an in the medical world is acceptable to reason. Explain that every cell in the human body vibrates in a thorough system. The slightest change in this vibration will cause potential illness in various parts of the body.
Well, these damaged cells must be vibrated back to restore balance. To continuously sound is required. So came the Voice Therapy found Dr. Alfred Tomatis, a doctor in France.
While Dr. Al-Qodhi found that reciting the Qur’an in a voiceless manner gave a tremendous influence on brain cells to restore its balance.
Subsequent research proves that cancer cells can be destroyed by using the sound frequency. And again proved that reading the Qur’an has a great impact in the process of curing diseases of cancer caliber.
Viruses and germs stop vibrating when recited verses of the Qur’an. And at the same time healthy cells become active. Then restore the balance of the affected program. On the other hand, a survey shows, the sound that has the most influence on the body’s cells is the voice of the owner of the body itself.
12. Improve Morality In children
Children who during the period of pregnancy routine listening reading al qur’an usually will grow more conspicuous than children his age. In addition, attitude and behavior also reflect strong Islamic values. One of the behaviors that indicate a high level of morality in a child that he will be easy to realize mistakes commonly done by children level.
Suppose the child has been reminded of a mistake made, usually as soon as possible will have the desire to apologize first.
13. Increase Creativity In Children
Children who are used to hearing al-Qur’an reading will have high memory. Memory or sharp memory makes this child easy to memorize, especially rote al qur’an. In addition to the intelligence in terms of memorization, children who used to be recited reading al qur’an since in the womb will also have a high level of creativity.
