Sometimes we get suddenly mad and become angrier with someone that hurt us so badly. We may not grow up enough if we don’t forgive them. Islam taught us to forgive others and take the lesson from it. That is why we need to take some time to be ready for giving our forgiveness to them. It is the best way on how to collect good deeds in Ramadhan.

The thing is, the furious can be triggered by everyone around us such as our parents, friends, neighbor, another member of the family. This situation makes us take so hard to give forgiveness to them. Even if in the Quran surah At Tagabun verse 14 mentions about this, sometimes we still hard to give our forgiveness.

“O, believers! Indeed, among your wives and your children, there are enemies to you, so be careful of them, and if you apologize and you are gracious and forgive (them), then truly, Allah is Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Q.S At-Tagabun: 14)

“O, believers! Indeed, among your wives and your children, there are enemies to you, so be careful of them, and if you apologize and you are gracious and forgive (them), then truly, Allah is Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

There are so many reasons why people are not forgiving others. It might because the ego, people’s ego is so crucial things. Another thing because of the deep effects of it so it becomes so hard and difficult to give forgiveness to others. Or sometimes, we just being too careless about others.

Speaking of which, now we will give you some tips if you are in a situation where you have to decide to give your forgiveness. Here we have 5 ways in how to forgive others in Islam based on the Quran.

1. Change Your Mind

Yes, the first thing you should do is change your mind. In the Quran surah, Al Baqarah verse 263 mentions that forgiveness is better than charity. While giving forgiveness to others we will feel relieved. It is so good for mental health so that we can be spared of anxiety and guilty feeling.  That feeling just likes after we read surahs in the Quran that peace your soul.

“Good words and forgiveness are better than alms accompanied by hurtful actions. God Almighty, Most Trustees.”

2. Adopt Another Forgiveness

If we don’t even know how to give our forgiveness it is better to adopt it from others in a good way. It can be from how our parents, sister, friend, or in the movie to forgiving each other things. That is why we need to know more about types of tolerance in Islam. It will help in giving forgiveness to others. In the Quran surah, Al A’raf verse 199 says that:

“Be forgiving and tell people to do good things, and don’t mind those who are stupid.”

3. Always Caring Each Other

Forgiving by caring for each other in a simple way can make the relationship better. Sometimes, without the forgiveness relationship being dreadful. It becomes so hurt for everyone not only the one who should ask for forgiveness.

That is why always becoming a caring person makes forgiveness more easiest to do. Just like today that we face the pandemic, Muslims should more care for each other and do things Muslims should do during the pandemic.

In the Quran surah, An-Nur verse 22 mentions about this.

“And do not those who have strengths and spaciousness among you swear that they (will not) give (help) to (his) relatives, the poor and those who emigrate in the way of Allah, and let them forgive and be tolerant. chest. Do you not like that God forgives you? And Allah is Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

4. Control Yourself

Controlling yourself towards anger is not easy. That is why there are so many books teach us about anger management. When it comes to controlling something in ourselves it means about the ego. While we are getting angry, we always want our ego put right in the first place without thinking. We need to calm down to get the ego down and think clearly to realize what exactly happens.

In the Quran surah, Ali Imran verse 134 mentions about this.

“(ie) people who act, both in the field of time and narrow, and those who hold back their anger and forgive (mistakes) others. And Allah loves those who do good,”

5. Stop Wasting Your Time

We are only live once, so it is better to forgive others. Indeed we have no idea when the Qiyamah will come. Islam believes that it is better to do something good instead of wasting your time unforgiving others. In the Quran surah, Al Hijr verse 85 mention this.

“And We did not create heaven and earth and what was between them, but with the truth. And truly, Judgment will surely come, so forgive (them) in a good way.”

On the other hand, we need to reconcile the relationship that becomes broken because of this. Every Muslim is brothers and sisters like a family. That is why instead of wasting your time doing something worthless it is better to do some good deeds. It is a good way to give good rights to relatives in Islam.

In the Quran surah, Al Hujurat verse 10 mentions this.

“Indeed, the believers are brothers, therefore reconcile between your two brothers (who are at odds) and fear Allah so that you may have mercy.”

So, these all 5 ways in how to forgiving others in Islam based on the Quran. We can do that in everyday life because it is very simple to do. May Allah give His mercy on us.
