Iman is everything in Islam. Without Iman, somebody can’t call themselves a Muslim. Iman sets the foundation of Islam itself and from the very first day of life we have taught to have Iman in Allah SWT. Iman holds an important role in Islam.
Iman means believe. Believing in Allah, the Prophets, as well as the Angels, Holy Quran, the Doomsday, and Qada’ and Qadr. Here are the high importance of iman in Islam for every Muslim to know.
1. Convinced About the Existence of Allah SWT
Nobody can ever see the form of Allah SWT, not even Prophet Adam (AS) the first human Allah created. Believe in something that we cannot see though our eyes is not an easy thing for some people. 2. Iman Guides Us in Hereafter
Iman is very important for life since it later acts as guidance in the world as well as the Hereafter. Iman lights the ways to the right track that Allah SWT bless.
“So whoever Allah wants to guide – He expands his breast to (contain) Islam.” (6:25)
3. Obligations to Allah SWT

“And it was already revealed to you and to those before you that if you should associate (anything) with Allah, your work would surely become worthless and you would surely be among the losers.” (39:65)
4. Kind of Worship to Allah SWT
There are many ways to worship Allah SWT and gain many of His blessings from there. However, upon doing those worship we mus put Allah SWT in our hard by have iman to Him. It is a starting point as a Muslim an believer that gives everything only to Allah SWT.
5. Manifested in the Heart

6. Creating Balance in Life
There are many advantages once we realize the importance of iman in Islam. In brings us inner peace we cannot find anywhere else. It provides security, comfort, and optimism to live this life, as well as a feeling that Allah SWT is always by our side.
7. A Strong Foundation for Relationship with Allah
Iman sets the foundation of Islam. By iman, we are accepting Islam as our religion, Allah SWT as the only God we worship, and Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as His Messenger. 8. The Best Among Good Deeds
Doing as many good deeds as possible is the main purpose of human creation. Those deeds will be presented in front of the doer later on, to help them safely getting through the Day of Judgement and proceeding to Jannah. Among million of good deeds in the world, there are two of them that Allah SWT fond of the most: jihad (fighting in Allah’s way) and iman.
As narrated by Abu Tharr (RA), he asked the Prophet (peace be upon him), “O Messenger of Allah, which deed is the best? ” He replied, “Having Iman in Allah and fighting in His cause (Jihad).” (Muslim)

9. As a Proof of Fear to Allah SWT
Every human being should live under the fear of Allah SWT. By having those fear, they will live according to Sharia, making sure they don’t do anything that awakened the wrath of Allah SWT. By realizing that we could never hide anything from Allah SWT, we become careful in living this life.
10. A Moral Ground in Islam
Having iman in life, said it by tongue, put it in the heart, and manifested through action brings us many benefits. Iman acts as a moral ground that set our behavior in life. Iman guides us to walk in the right path of Allah SWT, making us highly depended on Him, and laying hope only to Him.
11. Admitting the Existence of Allah SWT
Allah SWT doesn’t have any physical form nor ever showing Himself to anyone. This fact make some people doubting the existence of Allah SWT. Only true Muslim admitting the existence of Allah SWT without ever questioning whether Allah SWT truly exist or not. They can see it through His greatness that shown all over the world in any situation, through His Messenger and through the Holy Quran.
12. A Foundation to Do Good Deeds
Doing good deed without a believing heart to Allah SWT will be in vain. Iman should be coexisted with good deed as a condition for it to be accepted by Allah SWT.
As reported by Jabir (RA), the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “None of you will enter Paradise because of his good deeds alone. None would be rescued from the Hellfire, not even myself, except for the mercy of Allah.”
13. Searching for a Great Rewards from Allah
Allah SWT has promised every Muslim for great rewards if the believe in Allah SWT.
“As for those who fear their Lord unseen, for them is Forgiveness and a great Reward.” (67:12)
