What is it lying? Lying is an act that hides something by saying incorrect or dishonest. Lies are also usually used by some people for profit.

- A strict prohibition of lie
Indeed, every Muslims (human) do not do lies without having accurate knowledge about them. A lie without truth is one of the sins. Below the following here Allah Almighty says in the Quran.
“And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight, and the heart – about all those (one) will be questioned.”Verse (17: 36)
2. Signs of lie
The lies are explained in a hadith. That people who do lies have doubts, anxiety, and fear of something. For anyone Muslim, if he feels doubts, you should leave it and do it honestly.
Honest will bring you to peace of mind. Below the following here, the Prophet Muhammad said in his hadith.
“From Abu Muhammad Hasan ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib, he said: I have memorized the words of the Prophet:” leave what doubts of you and do what does not doubt of you because honesty is calm and lies are doubts (anxiety). “ (Tirmidhi)
3. Lying in the name of Allah and the Messenger of Allah SWT
Someone who dares to lie in the name of Allah and the Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad PBUH) surely he will get sins and will be placed in hellfire. While a Muslim lies about something in the name of Allah, indeed the reward given by Allah Almighty is very painful. The following below here is the hadith.
“Whoever intentionally lies on my behalf then the place of return is hellfire.” (Bukhari Muslim)
4. Appearing kindness in public
Lying in public in order to get praise or kindness from the community is an act that is very blameworthy. This act is usually called a hypocrite, in fact, the hypocrites are liars. The next below here, Allah says in the Quran.
“When the hypocrites come to you, (O Muhammad), they say, “We testify that you are the Messenger of Allah. And Allah knows that you are His Messenger, and Allah testifies that the hypocrites are liars.” Verse (63: 1)
5. Telling something is not based on facts
Have you ever met someone who tells something but is it not based on facts? This is one of the forms of lies and this is one of the characteristics that he is a liar. The following below here is the hadith.
“There are three signs of a hypocrite: if he says he is lying, if he promises he denies and if he believes he is a traitor.” (Bukhari)
6. Lying is the foundation of badness
If faith is the foundation of honesty, on the contrary lying is the foundation of badness (hypocrite). In a verse in the Quran, it is explained that someone who is honest will benefit from the truth. [AdSense-B]
While people who lie will only get losses and get a worse reply from Allah Almighty. Below here is Allah Almighty says in the Quran.
Allah will say; “This is the Day when the truthful will benefit from their truthfulness. For them are gardens (in Paradise) beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever, Allah being pleased with them, and they with Him. That is the great attainment.” Verse (5:119)
7. Lies don’t have any benefit
Saying as little as a lie won’t give you an advantage, on the other, it will be a loss for yourself. Doing a lie will actually lead to the hell, it is no matter how small the lie is. The following below here is the hadith.
“…. And, actually lies show sinful acts, and sinful actions show hell, and indeed someone who is used to lying will be recorded by Allah as a liar.” (Bukhari Muslim).
8. One of the acts of the disbeliever
When we have lied, we are included in those who disbeliever. How can it be like that? Doing lies or lying is one of the actions of disbelievers.
As Muslims, we are asked to always be honest by the Prophet Muhammad PBUH. Below here, Allah says in the Quran.
“They only invent falsehood who do not believe in the verse of Allah, and it is those who are the liars.” Verse (16:105)

9. The responsibility of a leader
Basically, a leader and religious scholars must have responsibility. But sometimes they do lies as their mask to get praise or something from the community.

10. Honestly shows kindness
Why do we as Muslims have to be honest? The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that in truth honesty would always show kindness and lead that person to heaven in the hereafter. Besides, the people who like to lie will lead themselves to hell. Below here, the Prophet Muhammad said in his hadith.
“Truly honest shows to goodness, while good leads to heaven. Indeed, someone who is accustomed to being honest must be recorded by Allah as an honest person. …..” (Bukhari Muslim)
11. Honest people are believers
Indeed, those who believers and fear of Allah are those who are honest and those who believers always with the righteous. Besides, those who do lies they are not believers and they are always with the disbelievers. The following below here Allah says in the Quran.
“O, you who have believed, fear Allah and be with those who are true.”. Verse (9:119)
12. The value of honesty in Allah Almighty’s sight
For Allah Almighty, the value of honesty is a value that contains goodness and it can be our savior in the hereafter. Honesty is essentially a matter that can determine the value of one’s deeds. “… If they had been true to Allah, it would have been better for them.” Verse (47: 21)
13. Allah Almighty divides peoples into two classes
In the Hereafter, Allah will divide the two classes of people, it namely between the hypocrites and the believers. Verily honesty is like the sword of Allah on earth capable of resisting and defeating the sounds of its enemies. Allah will reward every liar who does a lie. Below here Allah says in the Quran.
“That Allah may reward the truthful for their truth and punish the hypocrites if He will or accept their repentance. Indeed, Allah is Ever-Forgiving and Merciful.” Verse (33:24)
14. Honest in words and deeds
As a Muslim do honestly in words and deeds. Please, be honest in words and deeds as well as our heads and bodies. That way, we are included in the peoples who brings the truth. Below here Allah says in the Quran.
“And the one who has brought the truth and (they who) believed in it. Those are righteous.” Verse (39:33)
15. Honest people have a high position
Allah Almighty will give a high position after the position of the prophets to someone that did honestly both in the words and deeds.

“And whoever obeys Allah and The Messenger those will be with the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs and the righteous. And excellent are those as companions.” Verse (4:69)
