Muslims believe that everything written in the Quran has so many virtues and values include the values of Surah Luqman. Many people believe that Luqman is only an ordinary human that always obeys Allah in everything. The surah reminds us how Luqman taught his son kindly under the rules of Allah.
As time goes by, so many Muslims following what Luqman said in the Quran. Whether for teaching their children or guiding daily life, they copy what Luqman did in the hope to get Allah’s blessing.
This time we will bring you into some of the wiser values from the Quran surah Luqman just like the blessing virtues of surah Sadjah from the Quran. Check them out below!
There are so many verses on the Quran that mentions for Muslims to worship Allah only, including on the Quran surah Luqman. In the verse of 13th, Luqman said to his son to worship Allah only.
“And (remember) when Lukman said to his son, when he taught him a lesson, “O my son! Do not associate partners with Allah, actually associating partners with (Allah) is really a great tyranny. ” (QS 31: 13)
The verse reminds us again that there is no other god but Allah. Muslims believe that Allah is the only help for us in everything. That is why we need to be more concerned about this faith to not get fade away easily.
As we applying just what Luqman did to his son, that makes us more aware to love our parents as one of the Islamic ways to find peace. And love may is not enough to show to our parents so that we do so many things to pleased them under the law of Allah based on Islam.
Those kinds of things make us be more dutiful parents which becomes one of the good deeds you should follow from what’s written in the Quran. It mentions in the Quran surah Luqman verse 14 below.
“And We command humans (to do good) to their parents. His mother had conceived him in a state of increasing weakness and weaned him at the age of two. Give thanks to Me and your parents. Only to Me is your return.” (QS 31:14)
On the Quran surah Luqman verse 12 mentions that we should behave gratefully. Whether it for pleasure or strict rule, Muslims believe that as they are more grateful so that they will get more from Allah’s blessing.
“And really, we have given Lukman a pearl of wisdom, namely, “Give thanks to Allah! And whoever is grateful (to Allah), when in fact he is grateful for himself; and whoever is not grateful (kufr), then verily Allah is omnipotent, most praiseworthy. ” (QS 31:12)
Allah gave Luqman so many blessings as a reward for always being a grateful person. That makes real proof for every Muslim who puts their faith in Allah. Despite everything that happens to them, they believe that the more they grateful the more they get Allah’s blessing.
Doing good at least one good deed daily will make us closer to Allah’s blessing just like following the Akhlaq of the prophet Muhammad. That everything we do, in good or bad will get a retaliation kind just like a mention on the verse of 22 below.
“And whoever surrenders to Allah, while he is a person who is doing good, then, in fact, he has held onto a solid knot (rope). Only to Allah the end of all”. (QS 31:22)
That is why keep doing good deeds is important just like what Luqman always taught to his son. As mentions in the Quran surah Luqman verse 16 below on what Luqman said to his son.
“(Lukman said), “O, my son! Indeed, if there is (an action) as heavy as a mustard seed, and it is in a rock or in the sky or on earth, surely Allah will give it (reward). Indeed, Allah is Most Exalted, All-Researcher.” (QS 31: 16)
As Muslims, we are taught to do the prayer that we call a Five Prayer a Day as the aim for Muslims education. On the Quran surah Luqman verse 17 mentions the pray that we should do daily. It also mentions that we should keep doing good deeds so that we get more blessings from Allah. You can also do another prayer such as the importance of Nafl prayer before and after sunrise.
“O, my son! Carry out the prayers and tell (humans) to do what is wrong and prevent (them) from being wrong and be patient with what happens to you, in fact, this is an important matter.” (QS 31:17)
So, there are some of the glances about the values of the Quran surah Luqman. After reciting those verse, let’s hope that we will be the kind of person that behave wisely than before.
