20 Islamic Ways to Find Peace for Body and Soul
Peace is something difficult to find because in this life we will get many problems and obstacles that always make us feel depressed and stressful. However, we can find peace by deepening our knowledge about Islam and become the true Muslim. We have already known that Islam is a peaceful religion that will make the one who has this religion can get a peaceful life if we do it in the right way.
In the teachings of Islam that peace is the key to build relationships between humans, while war and infighting is a source of catastrophe that affects the social damage. This noble religion is very concerned about salvation and peace, also called on mankind to always live in harmony and peace by not following the passions and temptations of Satan.
And if they incline to peace, then you (also) incline to it, and put (your) trust in Allah. Indeed, He (is) All-Hearer, All-Knower. (Al-Anfal 8:61)

1. Remember Allah
We must always remember Allah in every condition that we have especially if we are looking for a peace. Remembering the name of Allah will make our heat feel peaceful and pleasant. We may forget all things that disturb our heart and only remember Allah because He is the Greatest and Almighty that can help us find a peace.
“Those who believed and find satisfaction their hearts in the remembrance (of) Allah. No doubt, in the remembrance of Allah find satisfaction the hearts.” (Ar-Ra’d 13:28)

2. Avoid conflict
Conflict is something that makes the people get angry, troubled and not feels peaceful because we are in the state of bad emotion. In Islam, we are taught to avoid the conflict or not raise the conflict that has already happened to us because we will not gain anything from it, even add more mess and sins. Think how peaceful the world is without the conflict and we feel happy living together in this world.
3. Repent of the sins
Sins that we have already done in the life will make us think about it and feel depressed and stressful. It is because we do something that is not liked by Allah and may hurt ourselves, other people, and Allah. So, we need to repent for the sins and ask Allah for forgiveness because it will make us relieved and feel peaceful. We can do any activities without worrying anything again and enjoy our life to the fullest.
“Verily a servant if committing a sin, then the sin becomes a black dot in his heart. If he repents and withdraws and turns (from his actions) then glaze his heart. If he repeats it, then the black dot rises to fill his heart. “ (HR. At-Tirmidzi no. 3334 and Ibnu Majah no. 4244)
4. Doing good things to others
Doing goodness to others can make our heart feel peaceful. It is because we can see the smile and happiness to the people that we help and it can’t be described by words. Moreover, if the people whom we do good things thanks us and remembers it. Allah loves His people who always do good things to others and will make a peaceful life for them.
“But seek, through what Allah has given you, the home (of) the Hereafter, and (do) not forget your share of the world. And do good as Allah has been good to you. And (do) not seek corruption in the earth. Indeed, Allah (does) not love the corrupters.” (Al-Qasas 28:77)
5. Enjoy the nature and the creation of Allah
If we always pay attention to the evidence of Allah’s power, we will become convinced that it makes the heart peaceful. This is because we are aware of the great power of Allah that does not need to be poured, but instead to be admired. We can do this by enjoying the nature and the creation of Allah that melt our heart and feel more peaceful. For example, we can go to the beach or mountain for seeing it.
And when said Ibrahim, “My Lord show me how You give life (to) the dead.” He said, “Have not you believed?” He said, “Yes [and] but to satisfy my heart.” He said “Then take four of the birds and incline them towards you, then put on each hill of them a portion; then call them, they will come to you (in) haste. And know that Allah (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise.” (Al-Baqarah 2:260)

6. Read and hear the verses of Qur’an
The Qur’an is a book containing many things about Islam and God. People who read and listen to the holy verses of the Qur’an will get a peace in their hearts when they really believe in Allah SWT. Therefore, as Muslim, our interaction or relationship with the Qur’an should be as good as possible, whether in the form of reading, hearing, studying and practicing it in everyday life. When our interaction with the Qur’an has been good, then only do all of them has made our faith stronger and the heart peaceful.
Only the believers (are) those who when Allah is mentioned feel fear their hearts, and when are recited to them His Verses, they increase them (in) faith, and upon their Lord they put their trust. (Al-Anfal 8:2)ads
7. Do salat and go to the mosque
Salat is the most important worship of every Muslim. Every sentence and word contained in the prayer will make us feel peaceful and become closer to Allah. Salat can also be a weapon to ward off various heart problems and bad emotions that exist within us. It is certainly a peace of mind and heart we will get by doing the worship especially if we do the mandatory prayer 5 times every day or doing Sunnah prayers such as hajat, tahajjud prayer, and other else. In addition, if we do it in the mosque, we will feel more peaceful because the mosque is a place that is guarded by the angels.
And for every nation We have appointed a rite, that they may mention (the) name (of) Allah over what He (has) provided them of (the) beast (of) cattle. And your God (is) God One, so to Him submit. And give glad tidings (to) the humble ones. Those when is mentioned Allah – fear their hearts, and those who are over whatever has afflicted them, and those who establish the prayer, and out of what We have provided them they spend. (Al-Hajj 22:34-35)

8. Give sadaqah to others
We should know that there are many people that are not as fortunate as us. We can live easier and more peaceful than them. Some people still live a difficult and tough life. As fellow Muslims, we need to give sadaqah to others that are in need. We can get benefits from it such as rewards from Allah and a peaceful feeling. From seeing their difficult life, we can learn many things.
Those who spend their wealth by night and day secretly and openly, then for them (is) their reward with their Lord, and no fear on them and not they will grieve. (Al-Baqarah 2:274)
9. Hang out and share a joke with friends
To find a peace, we can hang out and talk with friends. Friends always care about us and don’t want to see us in a bad condition. Talking and sharing a joke with them can make our heart become peaceful. It is because we don’t feel alone anymore and we know that there are still people who care about us. We can let go of all burden and become the true self around friends.

10. Keep away from debt
The one who has a debt will always be worried and troubled because he will be approached by the person who gave the debt to him. This is one factor that makes many people experience mental stress and will not have a peaceful life. Not only that, the debt that we do not pay in the world will come along to the Hereafter and will certainly be asked and recorded by the guards of the Hereafter.
Rasulullah SAW also said in the hadith that means: “Let you stay away from debt because the debt becomes a burden of mind at night and low self-esteem during the day.”
