1. Ease the tension

Managing their temper during Ramadan along with the fasting time can be difficult for some Muslims. That is why applying Dhikr can be one of the ways to ease tension. Moreover, it is already mentioned in the Quran surah Ar Ra’d verse 28.
الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَتَطْمَىِٕنُّ قُلُوْبُهُمْ بِذِكْرِ اللّٰهِ ۗ اَلَا بِذِكْرِ اللّٰهِ تَطْمَىِٕنُّ الْقُلُوْبُ ۗ
“(That is) those who believe and their hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah. Remember, that only by remembering Allah the heart will always be peaceful. (QS 13:28)
2. Stay Istiqomah
Stay Istiqomah is one of the benefits of Dhikr in Ramadan. The more Muslims apply Dhikr, the closer they get to the Istiqomah. Some Muslims believe that staying in Istiqomah can be difficult sometimes.
Allah may bless them to get the Istiqomah way by applying Dhikr regularly during Ramadan. Keeping them always in Allah’s way by Dhikr during Ramadan can be the most helpful thing to do for Muslims.
It is similar to the benefits of Dhikr after Tahajjud for Muslims. Moreover, staying in Istiqomah by doing Dhikr is already mentioned in the Quran surah Al Baqarah verse 186.
وَاِذَا سَاَلَكَ عِبَادِيْ عَنِّيْ فَاِنِّيْ قَرِيْبٌ ۗ اُجِيْبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ اِذَا دَعَانِۙ فَلْيَسْتَجِيْبُوْا لِيْ وَلْيُؤْمِنُوْا بِيْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُوْنَ
“When My servants ask you (Prophet Muhammad) about Me, indeed I am near. I grant the request of the one who prays when he prays to Me. So, let them fulfill My (commandments) and believe in Me so that they will always be in the truth.” (QS 2:186)
3. Accomplish the fasting
One of the benefits of Dhikr in Ramadan is accomplishing fasting. During Ramadan, fasting is an obligatory deed for Muslims. They can’t be left each day or else they will be a useless person in front of Allah.
Similar to the benefits of Dhikr every morning, doing Dhikr during the holy month will complete the fasting. Muslims that accomplish fasting properly will get so many benefits from Allah.
Moreover, it is already mentioned in the Quran surah Al Baqarah verse 184.
اَيَّامًا مَّعْدُوْدٰتٍۗ فَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ مَّرِيْضًا اَوْ عَلٰى سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِّنْ اَيَّامٍ اُخَرَ ۗوَعَلَى الَّذِيْنَ يُطِيْقُوْنَهٗ فِدْيَةٌ طَعَامُ مِسْكِيْنٍۗ فَمَنْ تَطَوَّعَ خَيْرًا فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّهٗ ۗوَاَنْ تَصُوْمُوْا خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ
“(That is) a certain number of days. So who among you is sick or on a journey (then does not fast), (must make up) the number of days (not fasting) on other days. For people who find it difficult to carry out, it is obligatory to pay Fidyah, (ie) to feed the poor. Whoever willingly does good is better for him and fasting is better for you if you know.” ( QS 2:184)
4. Get protection from the torment of hell
One of the benefits of Dhikr in Ramadan is that Muslims can get protection from the torment of hell. Most Muslims believe doing good deeds would help them avoid the torment of hell.
One of the ways to avoid the torment of hell is by applying good deeds such as Dhikr during Ramadan. Muslims believe that Allah will help them in one way or another. Moreover, it is already mentioned in the Quran surah Ali Imran verse 190.
الَّذِيْنَ يَذْكُرُوْنَ اللّٰهَ قِيَامًا وَّقُعُوْدًا وَّعَلٰى جُنُوْبِهِمْ وَيَتَفَكَّرُوْنَ فِيْ خَلْقِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۚ رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هٰذَا بَاطِلًاۚ سُبْحٰنَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
“(Namely) those who remember Allah while standing, sitting, or lying down, and think about the creation of the heavens and the earth (while saying), “O our Lord, You have not created all this in vain. Glory be to You. Protect us from the torments of hell. “ (QS 3:190)
5. Get a hint from Allah
Getting guidance from Allah is the biggest benefit of doing good deeds for Muslims. The expectation of getting a hint from Allah can be difficult to get for some Muslims.
That is why Muslims believe doing dhikr during Ramadan might help them to make it come true. As mentioned in the Quran surah Al Ahzab verses 41 – 43.
يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا اللّٰهَ ذِكْرًا كَثِيْرًاۙ وَّسَبِّحُوْهُ بُكْرَةً وَّاَصِيْلًا هُوَ الَّذِيْ يُصَلِّيْ عَلَيْكُمْ وَمَلٰۤىِٕكَتُهٗ لِيُخْرِجَكُمْ مِّنَ الظُّلُمٰتِ اِلَى النُّوْرِۗ وَكَانَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ رَحِيْمًا
“O, you who believe, remember Allah with as much dhikr as possible and glorify Him in the morning and evening. It is He who gives mercy to you and His angels (asking forgiveness for you) so that He brings you out of various darkness into light (which is bright). He is Most Merciful to the believers. (QS 33: 41-43)
