17 Ways How to Get Prayers Answered in Islam

All humans must have different desires and problems of life. Praying to Allah Ta’ala is the way to solve it. But how can it be, our prayer be answered by Allah Ta’ala? Below are the 17 how to get prayers answered Islam.

1.  Pay attention to the best times in prayer

“Allah SWT descended into the heaven of the world every night when the last one-third of the night remained. Allah says, ‘Who prays to Me, I grant, who asks, I will give, and who asks forgiveness must I forgive’. “(HR.Muslim)

2. Pray facing the Qiblah

Perform pray with the holy state and perform dua with the qibla as we do in prayer. Below here is the Quranic verse state this.

“Whencesoever thou comest forth turn thy face toward the Inviolable Place of Worship, and wheresoever ye may be (O Muslims) turn your faces toward it (when ye pray) so that men may have no argument against you, save such of them as do injustice – Fear them not, but fear Me! – and so that I may complete My grace upon you, and that ye may be guided.” (Verse 2:150)

3. Pray by praising the name of Allah Ta’ala

So the Prophet asked,

“Do you know what he is praying to Allah Ta’ala? He has prayed to Allah Ta’ala by mentioning his most magnificent name, which, if prayed with it, would be granted and if asked with it would have been given.”(Narrated by Tirmidhi, Ibnu Majah, and Ahmad)

4. Pray with a soft voice

In prayer, it is not permissible to talk too loud or too slowly. Perform pray with a soft voice, Allah Ta’ala will answer our prayers. Below here is the following of the Quranic verse.

“(O mankind!) Call upon your Lord humbly and in secret. Lo! He loveth not aggressors.” (Verse 7:55)

5. Raising hands when praying

Raising hands when praying is included in adab (action) in prayer. Prophet Muhammad SAW made this adab the cause of the supplication of prayer. The Adab prayed of this raising hand is written in the following hadith.This is based on the words of the Prophet Sallallahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam.

” Indeed, Allah Ta’ala is the Shyest, the Most Majestic. He was ashamed of his servant, if the servant raised his hands to Him, then both hands returned empty. ” (Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi)

6. Reciting Al Fatihah

Before entering the core of prayer, please to recite the Al-Fatihah’s verse as an opening. Al-Fatihah is the Ummah of Quran or the parent of the Quran. By reciting this verse, we believe that only Allah Almighty can manifest all our desires in any request. Allah says in this following hadith. [AdSense-B]

” I divide the prayer between me and my servant into two and for my servant what he asks. “So if the servant reads (Alhamdulillahirabbil’alamin) Allah says:” My servant loves me, “and if you read (Araahman arrahiim) Allah says: “My servant praises me,” and if read (Maalikiyaumiddiin) Allah says: “My servant surrender to Me, and if read (Iyyakana’budu wa iyyakanasta’iin), Allah said:” This is between Me and My servant, and to my servant what he asks, “and if read (Ihdinashiratolmustaqiim shiratoladzina an’amta ‘alaihim ghairil maghdhubi’alaihim waladhoollin), Allah says:” This is for my servant and for my servant what is he wants. “(Muslim)

7. Recite the Surah of Al-Ikhlas

The second surah that is recommended to recite is the letter of Al Ikhlas. Whoever recites this surah is same to recite a third of The Holy of Quran. This surah implies the oneness of Allah Ta’ala. Below here is the following hadith which confirms that Surah Al Ikhlas can answer all of our requests.

“Indeed the Messenger of Allaah. to hear someone say: “O Allah, verily I ask Thy, that I testify that thou art a God that no god is worshiped except the One, the One who depends on thy things, childless and not also desirable, and no one is equal to Him, “then The Messenger of Allah SAW. said: “Surely you have asked Allah by His name, which if He is asked with it (will surely) give, and if He is diseur with it, (will surely) grant it.” (Abu Dawud)

8. Recite the Surah Yasin

The Quranic scriptures have a heart like a human body. Yasin’s letter is the heart of the Quran. Anyone who recites the Surah Yasin at the beginning of prayer then all his prayers will be answered by Allah Ta’ala. Below is the following hadith.

“Whoever reads the Surah Yasin at the beginning of the day and puts it before his intent, then that intention will be fulfilled.” (HR Abasy Syaikhi from Abi Hurairah Ra.) [AdSense-A]

9. Performs The Hajat Prayer

Whoever has an intent or desire, then he may perform the prayers. Hajat is a Sunnah prayer that can be done at dhuha time or at midnight. It is also advisable to pray after this prayer so that our prayers can be answered. Below is the following hadith.

A blind man came to the Prophet and said, “Pray thou to God for me to heal me.” He Sallallahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam said, “If you want, I will postpone it for you (in the hereafter) and it is better. However, if you will, I will pray for you. “The man also said,” Please, pray.” The Prophet Sallallahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam then told him to perform ablution and improve his wudhu and pray two rak’ah then pray with this prayer,” O Allah, verily I plead with You and face You with Muhammad Nabiyyurrahmah. O Muhammad, I am actually facing my Rabb with you in my need to be fulfilled. O Allah, please accept his intercession for me. ”

10. Recite The Istighfar

Recite the istighfar as much as we can. Reciting istighfar can get us out of all the difficulties that we have. Reciting istighfar can also help in the supplication of our prayers.Allah Ta’ala will answer our prayer. Below here is the following hadith.

“Whoever reproduce istighfar, Allah will extend his distress, give way out on every difficulty and provide unexpected sustenance.” (Narrated by Abu Daud and Nasa’i)

11. Expand the Dhikr

Dhikr is to remembering Allah Ta’ala. Expand in the remembrance of Allah Ta’ala, then Allah Ta’ala will always remember you. By remembering Allah Almighty we will be awakened from bad deeds that blocked in the fulfillment of a prayer.

“So glory be to Allah when ye enter the night and when ye enter the morning” (Verse 30:17)

12. Pray what you want

In praying, speak up what you want to Allah Almighty and ask Him. Use a good language that we are good at it. As we know, Allah is All-Seer, Hearing, and All-Knowing all that exists in the world.

“Lo! Allah knoweth the Unseen of the heavens and the earth. And Allah is Seer of what ye do.” (Verse 49:18)

13. Repentance (Tawbah)

Think about it and acknowledge the harm that exists in us. Ask forgiveness to Allah Ta’ala while praying. To confess the error and sin before Allah Ta’ala will make us become inferior before Him. Below here is the following hadith.

“O mankind, turn to Allah and ask forgiveness of Him, indeed I repent in a day as many as 100 times.” (Narrated by Muslim).

14. Think good of Allah Almighty

As a believer in Allah Ta’ala, we must be sure of Allah Ta’ala. That all our prayers will be revealed by Allah Ta’ala. Please to think good of Allah Ta’ala Who is willing to grant all our prayers. Pray with the heart so that all our prayers are answered by Allah Ta’ala. Below here is the following hadith.

“Pray to Allah and you are sure to be answered. Verily, Allah does not accept the prayer of a neglected heart, and delays (with prayer).”(Narrated by Tirmidhi)

15. Do not rush in the hope of prayer

In one of his hadiths, The Prophet Muhammad narrated the hadith which says that whoever prays but he is hastily in the hope of prayer, then the prayer will not be answered. Therefore, for any Muslims who pray should not be in a hurry in hoping for the fulfillment of a prayer.

From Abu Hurairah Radhiyallahu ‘anhu said that the Messenger of Allah said, “A person will be granted a prayer for you while he is in no hurry, that he said I had prayed but had not been granted to me.” (Imam Bukhari).

16. Recite the Shalawat

Recite the Shalawat of The Messenger of Allah at the beginning and the end of our prayers. The Shalawat that addressed to the prophet and his family is a tribute.

“Lo! Allah and His angel’s shower blessings on the Prophet. O ye who believe! Ask blessings on him and salute him with a worthy salutation.”(Verse 33:56)

17. Ending the prayer with Tahmid

Ending the prayer well, so that our prayers can be answered. When we start something with good, then we must end it with good too. Hopefully, what we want can be answered by Allah Ta’ala. Therefore, reciting tahmid is highly recommended by Prophet Muhammad SAW. The Prophet SAW said in this following hadith.

“The most beloved words of Allah is four, just as you begin from: (Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, Laa ilaaha ill-Allah, Allahu Akbar).” (Muslim)
