15 Romantic Ways How to Praise Your Wife in Islam

For a marriage to be happy and last for a long time, both husband and wife should show their effort. Being faithful is surely one of the most important thing. But beside that, it’s important for both to keep falling in love over and over again. As both husband and wife do their respective duty for the family, it’s important to understand the hardship that each other’s has been through.

When a wife has given all she has for her family, the husband should know how to praise her in return. Because in fact, maintaining the household is not as easy as it seems. Here are the ways how to praise you wife in Islam.

1. Praise Her Cooking

Cooking is a task that your wife does everyday. To feed her husband and children, she does her best in cooking so that their hungry stomach will be pleased.

She wakes up every morning to make sure to have your breakfast before work, and serving you dinner at night. A simple praise for her cooking will make her please and feels truly appreciated.

2. Praise the Way She Dressed

In Islam, a woman should make herself as pretty as possible in front of her husband. She is allowed to wear pretty dress, put on make up, and spraying fragrance.

A husband have to recognize this and praising his wife in return. Tell her that you love the way she dressed, and how she looks pretty in it. Don’t make her feel down by saying that she looks ugly or something like that.

3. Saying Thank You to Her

You never know how tired it is to take care of the household everyday. The work for a housewife seems to be endless. From cooking the food, cleaning the house, washing the clothes, to raising and educating the children. You can praise your wife by saying thank you to her for everything that she has done.

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said:

“The most complete of the believers in faith, is the one with the best character. And the best of you are those who are best to their women.”(At-Tirmidhi and authenticated by Al-Albani)

4. Express Your Love to Her

There are many ways to express your love to your wife. By saying “I Love You” many times a day or by kissing and hugging her. To make her feel loved and protected is a husband’s responsibility. It’s important to keep your marriage in harmony, because the family happiness depend on your wife’s happiness.

5. Compliment Her for Her Hard Work

As there are many works she has to do everyday, show your appreciation by complimenting her. You can say, “I love how the house always clean. It’s because you have done a good job in keeping it.” It’s simple but means a lot for her.

Doing the housework is not only tiring but can be stressful sometimes. So when she hears your compliment, she knows that you understand how hard it must be for her and that you recognize it. If you are too tired to help her, just by giving her a simple praise make her happy and getting rid all of her tiredness.

  • Be Kind to Her

According to the Sharia law, a wife must be obedient to her husband. Whatever her husband ask her to, she has to follow. But a husband should not abusing his power by forcing his wife to do something without considering her condition. He must treat his wife with kindness and make her happy.
