According to the Qur’an, islam promotes tolerance and peace through the act of spreading love. Islam itself means “peace” in Arabic language. Allah persuaded people to live with moral values that maintain peace with other people, so that we could experience it in our life. “Righteousness is not that you turn your faces to the east and the west [in prayer]. But righteous is the one who believes in God, the Last Day, the Angels, the Scripture and the Prophets; who gives his wealth in spite of love for it to kinsfolk, orphans, the poor, the wayfarer, to those who ask and to set slaves free. And (righteous are) those who pray, pay alms, honor their agreements, and are patient in (times of) poverty, ailment and during conflict. Such are the people of truth. And they are the God-Fearing.” (Qur’an 2:177)

Islamic teaching is filled with values that are beneficial to all humankind whether Muslim or not. It also forbids all thing that treats the stability, comforts, security and peace. Giving education to the next generation is obligated, and teaching them Islamic core and value is also important. Our Prophet (peace and blessing of Allah may be upon him) said:
“Convey (my teachings) to the people even if it were a single sentence, and tell others the stories of Bani Israel (which have been taught to you), for it is not sinful to do so. And whoever tells a lie on me intentionally, will surely take his place in the (Hell) Fire.” (Bukhari)

For Muslims, Islam contains of moral and practical laws that are written in the Qur’an for all human beings. The moral and practical laws are a form of belief system that helps all Muslim in living their life and guide them to the rightest path. This ayah below told us:
“Indeed this Qur’an guides to the path which is clearer and straighter than any other.” (Qur’an, 17:9)
