Everyone wishes that they are capable avoid some bad luck in life. Like everyone else, Muslims also hope for a happy living without bad luck. Commonly, Muslims perceive a piece of bad luck as their trial from Allah.
That makes sense if some Muslims do the prayer to avoid some bad luck happen again in the future. In the Islamic way, there are so many ways to make a prayer for it. Muslims believe that Allah will help them through their prayer.

1. Recite QS At Taubah 51
Muslims believe that everything comes from Allah whether for a good or bad situation. As a Muslim, you must be known that commonly they make a prayer through everything. Instead of worrying about a thing, making a prayer will help you minimize your anxiety through your bad day.
Recite the Quran surah At Taubah verse 41 will help you to protect yourself from bad luck as one of the Duas to read when you need something.
قُلْ لَّنْ يُّصِيْبَنَآ اِلَّا مَا كَتَبَ اللّٰهُ لَنَاۚ هُوَ مَوْلٰىنَا وَعَلَى اللّٰهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ – ٥١
“Say (Muhammad), “Nothing will befall us except what Allah has decreed for us. He is our protector, and only Allah puts his trust in those who believe.” (QS 9:51)
2. Recite QS Al Mulk 1-2
From a very long time ago, Muslims believe that Allah gives everything as a gift. Whether for good or bad, as a Muslim, you should accept them with gratefulness. Indeed Allah will not be leaving you behind as long as you keep in a right line towards Allah.

تَبٰرَكَ الَّذِيْ بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُۖ وَهُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌۙ – ١ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَ الْمَوْتَ وَالْحَيٰوةَ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ اَيُّكُمْ اَحْسَنُ عَمَلًاۗ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْغَفُوْرُۙ – ٢
“Glory be to Allah who rules (all) the kingdom, and He has power over all things. Who created death and life, to test you, which of you is better indeed. And He is Mighty, Most Forgiving.” (QS 67: 1-2)
3. Recite QS As Syura 30-31
Muslims know better about their responsibility for every single act they do daily. Referring to the Quran surah As Syura, it is better to make two verses there as your prayer to protect you from bad luck such as the benefits of dhikr after Tahajjud.
May Allah will protect you as well as you put your trust in Him by reciting the surah As Syura.
وَمَآ اَصَابَكُمْ مِّنْ مُّصِيْبَةٍ فَبِمَا كَسَبَتْ اَيْدِيْكُمْ وَيَعْفُوْا عَنْ كَثِيْرٍۗ – ٣٠ وَمَآ اَنْتُمْ بِمُعْجِزِيْنَ فِى الْاَرْضِۚ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِّنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ مِنْ وَّلِيٍّ وَّلَا نَصِيْرٍ – ٣١
“And whatever misfortune befalls you is due to the work of your own hands, and Allah forgives many (of your faults). And you cannot escape (from Allah’s torment) on earth, and you have no protector or helper other than Allah.” (QS 42: 30-31)
4. Recite QS Al Insan 24-25
People are people that sometimes get the feeling down during a hard situation. As a Muslim, you need to consider the situation as a trial from Allah. If you can be more patient and endure the situation, may Allah will give you His blessing.
Make a prayer by reciting the Quran surah Al Insan verses 24-25 will help you to protect yourself from the bad luck that is similar to the Dua to keep away from sin.
فَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تُطِعْ مِنْهُمْ اٰثِمًا اَوْ كَفُوْرًاۚ – ٢٤ وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ بُكْرَةً وَّاَصِيْلًاۚ – ٢٥
“So be patient for (implementing) the decree of your Lord, and do not follow the sinners and the disbelievers among them. And mention the name of your Lord in the morning and evening.” (QS 76:24-25)
5. Recite QS Al Mulk 28-29
Muslims believe that even for a bad person, Allah still gives His blessing to them. Even though sometimes they don’t realize it. As a Muslim, you need to be aware of what Allah gives to you so that you can get some benefits of being grateful.
To always being grateful is not as easy as you think, while sometimes bad luck comes to you. So that reciting the Quran surah Al Mulk verses 28-29 will help you to remain that every protection comes from Allah only.
قُلْ اَرَءَيْتُمْ اِنْ اَهْلَكَنِيَ اللّٰهُ وَمَنْ مَّعِيَ اَوْ رَحِمَنَاۙ فَمَنْ يُّجِيْرُ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ اَلِيْمٍ – ٢٨ قُلْ هُوَ الرَّحْمٰنُ اٰمَنَّا بِهٖ وَعَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْنَاۚ فَسَتَعْلَمُوْنَ مَنْ هُوَ فِيْ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيْنٍ – ٢٩
“Say (Muhammad), “Do you know if Allah kills me and those who are with me or has mercy on us, (we will enter Paradise), then who can protect the disbelievers from a painful torment?” Say, “He is the Most Merciful, we believe in Him and in Him, we put our trust. Then later you will know who is in clear error.” (QS 67:28-29)
