Not everyone can teach, not everyone who can teach want to teach their sciences and not everyone who teach their science do it sincerely. Because of that, teachers are often called as unsung heroes. They only hope the willing of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala.
From Abu Hurairah, Rasulullah saw said :
“If someone died then cut off all of his deeds, except three things. Sadaqah Jariyah, useful knowledge and dua from righteous children.” (Narrated by Muslim)

From that hadith, we know that teaching is an obligation for Moslems. So in this chance, this article will discuss about the virtues of teaching in Islam. Let see the complete explanation below.
From the explanation of Abu Mas’ud Uqbah bin Amir Al Anshari radhiyallahu ‘anhu, he described based on the word of Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, he said that :
“Whoever show to the kindness then he will get a reward as the reward of person who do it.” (Narrated by Muslim number 1893)
Then it is strengthened with other hadith, the word of Rasulullah saw said :
“Whoever teach knowledge, then he get a reward from those who apply it without reducing the reward of people who do it.” (Narrated by Ibn Majah)
As we know, some people do not want to share their knowledge because they are afraid that there will be someone who can compete them. Indeed there is a clear statement from Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam : “Whoever is asked about knowledge then he hides it, then in the Hereafter Allah SWT will bound him with hellfire.” (Narrated by Abu Dawud and Imam Tirmidzi)
Amar ma’ruf nahi munkar can be said as the best way to spread goodness, such as advise each other. Sometimes, some people do not realize that they have given an advice to others, especially parents or people who are older than us. They usually give guidance to the youngers who have not known how to do a good thing.
From the explanation of Abu Hurairah, Rasulullah saw said :
“Whoever become a pioneer a good deed then it is applied by next people, then [it] will be noted a reward as the reward of people who follow him and never decrease a little reward that they get. Contrarily, whoever become a pioneer a bad deed that it is applied by next people, then [it] will be noted for him a sin as the sin of people who follow him, without decreasing a little sins.” (Narrated by Muslim number 1017)
Many people consider that teaching will decrease their knowledge. Indeed that opinon is a big wrong. If you share your knowledge to others, your will be more understand about your knowledge. More share, you will be more steady and confident. It is equal to you get new knowledge in your life and finally your knowledge before will not be diminished.
It is explained in the word of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala below :
“You must make it clear to the people and not conceal it.” (Q.S. Ali Imran : 187)
By teaching, you can help others who have not known. It is equal to a form of helping each other that can be done easily. Of course, it is also a form of taqwa to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala. From ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr , Rasullullah Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said :
“Say from me although only one verse.” (Narrated Bukhari number 3461) [AdSense-B]
One way of training your patience is teaching. Because when you are teaching, your student will not accept your knowledge fast, but you should explain it repeatedly. So, it can train your to be more patient. Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said :
“Rasulullah often repeats his saying three times, it is meant that every his words can be understand.” (Narrated by Tirmidzi)

A happiness when you teach other is a priceless thing. Moreover, if you teach what you love, of course it will be more interesting. Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said :
“Say to human as what they know, and leave what they do not know and they do not like. Do you want Allah and His Messenger to be lied?” (Narrated by Bukhari)

As we know, teachers are unsung heroes. It is meant that teaching is a glory thing in the Eyes of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala and His creatures. Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said :
“Indeed Allah His angels, and the resident of sky and earth including an ant in its hole and fishes, indeed all of them pray kindness for those who teach human.” (Narrated by Tirmidzi)
People who have knowledge have surely an exact difference if they are compared with those who do not have knowledge. It can be looked in their daily lives. In Qur’an surah Az-Zumar verse 9, Allah Subahanahu Wa Ta’ala says :
“Is one who id devoutly obedient during periods of the night, prostrating and standing [in prayer], fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the mercy of his Lord, [like one who does not]? Say, “Are those who know equal to those who do not know?” One they will remember [who are] people of understanding.”

Guess teaching can dig our skill to do different something. For example, a good teaching technique is a technique that can be accepted well by others. For that, you should know what is the best technique for them. So, they will be more comfortable and spirit to be taught by you.
Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said : “Especially for us, the Prophets, are commanded to place people as their levels. And so that we pass to them based on the level of understanding (their intelligences).” (Narrated by Abu Dawud)
By teaching, we have followed the commands of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala that it has been arranged in Qur’an. If we are applied and unterstood it well, it can surely bring a happiness in our society. So that, in this case, teaching in many knowledge are needed to make a happiness and a better life for others.
In the hadith, it is mentioned that
“Whoever Allah wills a kindness for him, he will be understood by religion.” (Narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim from Mu’awiyah radhiyallahu ‘anhu)
Thus the article about the virtues of teaching in Islam. Hopefully, we can be useful people for others as the command of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala and His Messenger. Amen.
