In most Islamic rules, Muslim believes that parents become the most precious person for their whole life. That makes sense that every Muslim will more be fancying their parents over anything in the world. There even some laws about abandoning your abusive parents if they harm you.
If you take a look closer, in most of the Quranic letter that mentions about parenting in Islamic perspective, there will be something good if you praised them. There are even some verses on how Muslims should behave towards their parents whether they agree or disagree about such things.

1. Having a Blessing Life
So many Muslims believe that if you obeying your parents you will get more blessings life than before. As Allah mentions in the Quran surah Luqman verse 14 that you should be obeying them, specifically your mother after giving birth to you.
Allah mentions that you should be grateful once your mother giving your birth healthily. That makes you realized more that you should be grateful and may Allah will giving you some blessing life significantly.
وَوَصَّيْنَا الْاِنْسَانَ بِوَالِدَيْهِۚ حَمَلَتْهُ اُمُّهٗ وَهْنًا عَلٰى وَهْنٍ وَّفِصَالُهٗ فِيْ عَامَيْنِ اَنِ اشْكُرْ لِيْ وَلِوَالِدَيْكَۗ اِلَيَّ الْمَصِيْرُ
“And We command humans (to do good) to their parents. His mother had conceived him in a state of increasing weakness and weaned him at the age of two. Thank me and your parents. Only to Me is your return.” (QS 31:14)
2. Patience
Dealing with parents that has a different perspective for so many Muslims will give them the patience to learn. They will know significantly how to be patient and deal with them in the right perception towards a healthy discussion. Moreover, they can make some Dua’s to avoid anger in Islam during their discussion.
Hence Allah always reminds Muslims to be patient in everything we face in the world, which will make them get to be more patient during the time they obeying their parents. Such as mentions in the Quran surah Luqman verse 17 below.
يٰبُنَيَّ اَقِمِ الصَّلٰوةَ وَأْمُرْ بِالْمَعْرُوْفِ وَانْهَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَاصْبِرْ عَلٰى مَآ اَصَابَكَۗ اِنَّ ذٰلِكَ مِنْ عَزْمِ الْاُمُوْرِ
“Wahai anakku! Laksanakanlah salat dan suruhlah (manusia) yang makruf dan cegahlah (mereka) dari yang mungkar dan bersabarlah terhadap apa yang menimpamu, sebenarnya yang demikian itu termasuk perkara yang penting.” (QS 31:17)
3. Kindness Person
In so many cultures, Muslims believe that parents always taught their children to do good deeds only. That makes as children will be grown up into the kind person that care to each other based on their good deeds do daily.
Indeed, Muslims believe that doing a good deed will get more blessed from Allah. Such as mentions in the Quran surah An- Nisa verse 36 below.
وَاعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكُوْا بِهٖ شَيْـًٔا وَّبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ اِحْسَانًا وَّبِذِى الْقُرْبٰى وَالْيَتٰمٰى وَالْمَسٰكِيْنِ وَالْجَارِ ذِى الْقُرْبٰى وَالْجَارِ الْجُنُبِ وَالصَّاحِبِ بِالْجَنْۢبِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيْلِۙ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ اَيْمَانُكُمْ ۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَنْ كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُوْرًاۙ
“And worship Allah and do not associate Him with anything. And do good to your parents, intimate friends, orphans, poor people, close and distant neighbors, peers, Ibn Sabil, and your slave servants. Indeed, Allah does not like people who are proud and proud,” (QS 4:36)
4. Get More Protection
As Muslims obeying their parents they will get more protection in so many ways. For example, if they got something that against Islamic rules, parents will give them the best advice to take any action to keep them still on the Islamic line on the way on how to stay Istiqomah.
It mentions on the Quran surah As Saffat verse Al Mumthahanah verse 5 below.
رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِّلَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا رَبَّنَاۚ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيْمُ
“O our Lord, do not make us (targets) slander for the unbelievers. And have mercy on us, O our Lord. Surely you are all-powerful, all-wise. ” (QS 60:5)
5. Know Your Duty
Muslims believe as they have grown up they have some responsible duty to makes their parents happy. Whether you give them some service as they support your grown-up things or not, you need to be more considerable to make them happy at least with a good word when speaking to them.
It mentions on the Quran surah Al Isra verse 23 below.
وَقَضٰى رَبُّكَ اَلَّا تَعْبُدُوْٓا اِلَّآ اِيَّاهُ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ اِحْسٰنًاۗ اِمَّا يَبْلُغَنَّ عِنْدَكَ الْكِبَرَ اَحَدُهُمَآ اَوْ كِلٰهُمَا فَلَا تَقُلْ لَّهُمَآ اُفٍّ وَّلَا تَنْهَرْهُمَا وَقُلْ لَّهُمَا قَوْلًا كَرِيْمًا
“And your Lord has commanded you not to worship other than Him and to do good to mother and father. If one of the two or both come to an advanced age in your care, then you may not say to both of them the word “ah” and do not yell at both, and say to both of them a good word.” (QS 17:23)
6. Avoid Idolizing
Some Muslims may get distracted over doing something while they have grown up such as get an idol over something. Obeying parents will significantly avoid those kinds of behavior since parents will always remind them to avoid something that against the Islamic rules.
Indeed idolizing something can bring them towards heathen things that Allah hates them so much. Luckily you will get save by obeying your parents by not doing that behavior. You can also make some Dua’s for protection from Shirk such as mentioned on the Quran Al Isra verse 36 below.
وَلَا تَقْفُ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهٖ عِلْمٌ ۗاِنَّ السَّمْعَ وَالْبَصَرَ وَالْفُؤَادَ كُلُّ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ كَانَ عَنْهُ مَسْـُٔوْلًا
“And don’t follow something you don’t know. Because of hearing, sight, and conscience, all of this will oversee his accountability.” (QS 17:36)
