So which wives of Rasulullah Shalallahu ‘alaihi Wassalam that are luckier on his side than me? said: “Aisha Radiyallahu ‘anhaa used to marry women in the month of Shawwal” (Hadith narrated by Muslim).

Ibn Katsir rahimahullah explained,

“Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam married’ Aisyah to deny the wrong belief of some people ie not like to marry between two ‘ied (month of Syawwal included between ‘Eid fitri and ‘Eid Al-Adha), they are afraid there will be a divorce . This belief is not true.” (Al Bidayah wan Nihayah, 3 : 253)

Imam Ahmad narrated from Abdullah ibn Mas’ud he said; Rasulullah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam said: “Thiyarah (hanging fate) is shirk and not of us except Allah remove it with tawakkal.”

Imam Ahmad narrated from Abdullah bin ‘Amru, he said; Rasulullah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa Salam said: “Whoever does not continue the activities of his needs because thiyarah (superstition, unlucky to see birds or others) then really he has done shirk.”

This is a very wrong opinion, since in Islam itself, the best month to marry is by done it immediately and there is no prohibition to marry in a certain month like in the month of Safar.

The word Safar himself in Arabic means zero and the Arabs call zero with shifrun. It was during this month that the people of Jahiliyah made a long journey to a war of warning previously banned in the month of Muharram. Read also : law of women ask divorce in Islam

“And marry the unmarried among you and the righteous among your male slaves and female slaves. If they, should be poor, Allah will enrich them from His bounty, and Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing. (QS. An-Nur : 32)

“Indeed, the postponing (of restriction within sacred months) is an increase in disbelief by which those who have disbelieved are led (further) astray.

They make it lawful one year and unlawful another year to correspond to the number made unlawful by Allah and (thus) make lawful what Allah has made unlawful. Made pleasing to them is the evil of their deeds; and Allah does not guide the dibelieving people.” (QS. At-Tawbah : 37)

Married on the month of Hajj

“Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve (lunar) months in the register of Allah (from) the day He created the heavens and the earh; of these, four are sacred.

That is the correct religion, so do not wrong yourselves during them. And fight againts the disbelievers collectively as they fight againts you collectively. And know that Allah is with the righteous (who fear Him). (QS. At-Tawbah : 36)

In that verse is a predetermined concept of Allah that is 12 months Qomariyah in a year and among those months there are 4 months which is called as the forbidden (haram) month. Named the month of haram is unlawful to wage war on that month.

Of the many opinions from the scholars, the month of Dzulhijjah became a good month since it has two privileges namely Dzulhijjah who entered in the day of Eid al-Adha and the second is Dzulhijjah which includes the month of haram.

This makes before and after the Hajj ie between the month of Dzulqa’dah, Dzulhijjah and Muharram becomes a good month for good intentions such as marriage. Read also : law of men use marriage ring in Islam
