The main thing that should be planned in marriage preparation is a good month to get married according to Islam. Many parents are looking for the best time when their child wants to marry in hope of fluency and also good things that will happen in the next life after marriage.
As a Muslim, finding the best month to marry also becomes important since marriage itself is a sacred event that greatly avoids the occurrence of unwanted bad things.

Islamic Advice on the Good Month to Marry
In fact, all of days do not have a prohibition to marry as long as it does not violate the Shari’a unless there is a proposition.
However, for the best month matter in marriage that can be considered is the month of Shawwal. In addition to the month of Shawwal, the month of Ramadan is also mentioned as a good month to get married.
In a history it is mentioned that Rasulullah and his wife were getting married coincide with the month of Shawwal and in the same month, they enter into marriage.
In addition, it is also sunnah by Sayyidah Aissyah if the month of Shawwal is a good month for marriage. While Rasulullah said if the month of Ramadan became a good day to marry according to Islam.
Rasulullah SAW married me in the month of Shawwal and held the first night with me in the month of Shawwal. ‘Which one of his wife who get more attention than me?’ One of the narrators said, ‘Aisha likes if the husband did the first night in the month of Shawwal.” (Hadith narrated by Muslim, An-Nasai, and others)
It is not advisable to believed of anything related to the prophecy, for the destiniy and also the person’s fate are not related to the mate, the date of marriage, weton (Indonesian javanese believed on days and destiny) and so on.

“Whoever come to the fortune-teller, then ask about something, then his prayers will not be accepted for 40 days.” (Hadith narrated by Ahmad, Muslim)
Aisyah herself also strongly advised women to take marriage in the month of Shawwal so that later it would not be similar to the people of ignorance (jahiliyah). But for some Muslims are still reluctant to hold a wedding in the month of Ramadan for fear if the obligations of fasting will be disrupted. However, for some people think if married in the month of Shawwal and also Dzulhijjah are less good and will provide this misfortune to prove if the belief is a jahiliyah that has no basis whatsoever in Islam.
The Sunnah Theory of Married in The Month of Shawwal
Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam , married me in the month of Shawwal, and built a household with me in the month of Shawwal also. So which wives of Rasulullah Shalallahu ‘alaihi Wassalam that are luckier on his side than me? said: “Aisha Radiyallahu ‘anhaa used to marry women in the month of Shawwal” (Hadith narrated by Muslim).
Ibn Katsir rahimahullah explained,
“Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam married’ Aisyah to deny the wrong belief of some people ie not like to marry between two ‘ied (month of Syawwal included between ‘Eid fitri and ‘Eid Al-Adha), they are afraid there will be a divorce . This belief is not true.” (Al Bidayah wan Nihayah, 3 : 253)
Prohibition of Thiyarah
Thiyarah assumption or feel bad luck is a bad faith and can bring closer to shirk (practicing of idolatry or polytheism and worship anyone or anything besides Allah SWT).

“There is nothing (infectious) and there is no “Thiyarah”, and I am amazed al-fa’lu ash-shalih, which is a good (hope) sentence “(Hadith narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim).
Imam Ahmad narrated from Abdullah ibn Mas’ud he said; Rasulullah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam said: “Thiyarah (hanging fate) is shirk and not of us except Allah remove it with tawakkal.”
Imam Ahmad narrated from Abdullah bin ‘Amru, he said; Rasulullah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa Salam said: “Whoever does not continue the activities of his needs because thiyarah (superstition, unlucky to see birds or others) then really he has done shirk.”
Married on the month of Safar
Many people also think if married in the month of Safar will bring disaster and will not get a blessing while undergoing household.
This is a very wrong opinion, since in Islam itself, the best month to marry is by done it immediately and there is no prohibition to marry in a certain month like in the month of Safar.
The word Safar himself in Arabic means zero and the Arabs call zero with shifrun. It was during this month that the people of Jahiliyah made a long journey to a war of warning previously banned in the month of Muharram. Read also : law of women ask divorce in Islam
“And marry the unmarried among you and the righteous among your male slaves and female slaves. If they, should be poor, Allah will enrich them from His bounty, and Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing. (QS. An-Nur : 32)
“Indeed, the postponing (of restriction within sacred months) is an increase in disbelief by which those who have disbelieved are led (further) astray.
They make it lawful one year and unlawful another year to correspond to the number made unlawful by Allah and (thus) make lawful what Allah has made unlawful. Made pleasing to them is the evil of their deeds; and Allah does not guide the dibelieving people.” (QS. At-Tawbah : 37)
Married on the month of Hajj
“Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve (lunar) months in the register of Allah (from) the day He created the heavens and the earh; of these, four are sacred.
That is the correct religion, so do not wrong yourselves during them. And fight againts the disbelievers collectively as they fight againts you collectively. And know that Allah is with the righteous (who fear Him). (QS. At-Tawbah : 36)
In that verse is a predetermined concept of Allah that is 12 months Qomariyah in a year and among those months there are 4 months which is called as the forbidden (haram) month. Named the month of haram is unlawful to wage war on that month.
“Allah specifies 4 months, so Allah makes it unlawful and glorifies its glories, making the sin committed on that month is greater and so is the good deeds and its reward.” (tafsir of Al-Qur’an al ‘Azhim, Ibn Katsir)
Of the many opinions from the scholars, the month of Dzulhijjah became a good month since it has two privileges namely Dzulhijjah who entered in the day of Eid al-Adha and the second is Dzulhijjah which includes the month of haram.
