Many things that can be done as a honor of our guests, such as be friendly, give banquet and bring them to your house yard after they say goodbye. These things apply to everyone who visit your home without viewing religion, status and position.

Treating guest is so important, Allah has given examples about this positive thing since a long time ago. In Surah Adz Dzariyat is told as the Prophet Ibrahim Alaihi Sallam treated his guest well at that time.

“Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham? When they entered upon him and said, ‘{We greet you with] peace.” He answered, “[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown. Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf. And placed it near them; he said, “Will you not eat?” (Q.S. Adz Dzariyat : 24 – 27)

  1. Get Rewards as the worship of Hajj and Umrah

Besides it is as a way to connect and tighten hospitality between human, a guest who come to our house can bring blessings from Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala.

This thing is informed by Ibn Abas radhiyallahu ‘anhuma that narrated about Rasulullah Shalallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam who said :

Besides that, a hadith also told that Ali Ibn Abi Thalib radhiyallahu ‘anhu has been informed by Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam who said :

If someone come to our home and we bless him as a guest who has to be treated politely and friendly, then Allah will light all members of family with a light kindness, although their level of faith are different.

“No home that is visited by a guest, except Allah Tabaarak wa Ta’ala delegates an angel like a bird to that house during forty days before that guest arrives. That angel will say : ‘O the house owner, fulan ibn fulan, your guest will come in this day and that day. While the replay of Allah is this and that.’ All angels that are represented to keep that house said : ‘What else the reply that will be accepted?’ Then go out that angel to then by bringing a note that is written : ‘Allah has forgiven that house owner, although their numbers are one thousand.”

“There is no servant who treat guest sincerely because of Allah Benefactor, except Allah notices him althought he is in the crowding. If a guest who come is an expert heaven and the house owner is an expert hell, then Allah Ta’ala makes that house owner as an expert heaven because he has treated his guest.”
