Zuhr prayer has 4 rak’ahs. Zuhr prayer time is held when the sun is above the head, starting at 11-13: 00 local time. The first person to perform Zuhr prayers is the prophet Abraham (AS). 2. Forbidden from the fire of hell

“Whoever protects 4 rakahs before Zuhr and also 4 rakahs thereafter, until it is forbidden to hell upon it. “
3. Performing Zuhr Prayer when it cooler
If the weather is summer and very hot, we may perform Zuhr prayers when the weather is the little bit colder. This suggestion is written in the following hadith below.
“Allah’s Apostle said, “If it is very hot, then pray the Dhuhr (Zuhr) prayer when it becomes (a bit) cooler, as the severity of the heat is from the raging of the Hell-fire.”(Narrated by Abu Huraira and ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar)
4. Rewards of rak’ah Sunnah
Prophet Mohammad SAW advised us to perform pray four rakahs before the Zuhr prayer and after performing Zuhr prayers. This is done by Prophet Muhammad SAW to get many rewards. The following is described in one hadith.

Prophet Muhammad never left the Sunnah prayer where this prayer is always done by our prophet after performing Zuhr prayer. Here is a hadith narrated by Aisha about the habit of the prophet Muhammad SAW to keep performing on this sunnah prayer.
‘Aishah (Radi Allahu Anha) reported: If the Prophet (Sall Allahu Alayhi Wa Salaam) could not perform four Rak’ah before Dhuhr prayer, he would perform them after it (i.e., after the obligatory prayer).

“From Abu Hurairah ra., He said: ‘The Prophet. walk around, then I accompany (him). Then I prayed. Then I sat down. Then the Prophet turned to me. The Prophet asked: ‘Are you got a stomachache?’. I replied: ‘O Messenger of Allah’. The Prophet said: ‘Wake up and pray because actually there is a medicine in the prayer’ “(H.R. Ibn Majah).
14. Removed from any sins and all wrong
Performing five obligation prayer is done with the intention to wipe away all our sins and our guilt while we live in the world. Zuhr prayer is one of them, the prayer that is done during this daytime can wipe away all the sins that we have done during our activity in the morning. Below is a hadith narrated Muslim about prayer as a penance.
“There is no Muslim to be prayed fardhu, then he consecrates his wudhu and solemnity and prayer, but it becomes the penitent of previous sins, as long as he did not commit a great sin, and that applies throughout the ages.”
16. Cleansed our sin
Exactly on the previous point that doing the prayer is to cleanse us from sin. The little sins we do every day can be cleansed by prayer. Below is another hadith that explains the same thing as in the previous point, which is prayer as the cleanser of our sins.
“Do you know that if there is a river near the door of one of you, then he bathed in the river five times a day, will there be a little bit of dirt?” The Companions replied, “There will be no trace of it.” He said, “Then that is the parable of the five daily prayers, with which God will take away sins.” (Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim)
17. For you who people delaying a prayer time
It is not recommended for us Muslims delay the prayer time. Leaving one of prayer, like Zuhr prayer by deliberate means we are among the disbelievers. As the word of God is mentioned in the Quran.
“Now there hath succeeded them a later generation whom have ruined worship and have followed lusts. But they will meet deception. Save him who shall repent and believe and do right. Such will enter the Garden, and they will not be wronged in aught.” (Verse 19: 59-60)
18. Reducing the burden of the digestive organs
Perform Zuhr prayer is better done after lunch. It is intended to assisting the burden of the digestive organs in performing their duties. It would be better if we also do fasting every Monday and Thursday. Here is one of the hadiths about fasting. It is from Abu Hurairah Radhi Allahu ‘anhu, the Messenger of Allaah Sallallahu’ alaihi wa Sallam said:
“Various deeds are confronted (on God) on Mondays and Thursdays, so I like if my deeds are confronted while I’m fasting.” (HR. Muslim)

19. Our level will be elevated by Allah ta’ala

“Thou must raise the prostrate (Prayers). Surely thou dost not prostrate once to Allah, except with that prostration Allâh will lift you one degree and wipe out one’s iniquity.” (HR. Muslim)
20. The cause of entering heaven
Prayer is the first thing to ask on the Day of Judgment. It is said that whoever does not perform the prayer, then he is the one who loses. Prayer is our weapon to wipe away sin and to pray is our provision to go to heaven. This is the reason why we should keep the five daily prayers, including the Zuhr prayer. Below is a hadith that explains that prayer is a cause of entering the heaven. From Rabi’a ibn Ka’ab al-Aslami Radhiyallahu anhu, he recalled.
“I have spent the night with Rasûlullâh Sallallahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam, then I bring ablution water’ and his necessities. He said to me, ‘Ask!’ So I said, ‘I ask that I may accompany you in heaven.’ He replied, ‘Is there anything else besides?’ I replied, ‘That’s all.’ Sallallahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam said: ‘Help me to grant your request by prostration’.” (HR. Muslim)
