Deed is an action that create consequences for whoever did it. In Islam we know good deeds and bad deeds, both action will give muslim consequences in forms of reward and sins or punishment from Allah SWT. Sometimes what deeds we choose is the result of our faith to Allah SWT.
If we believe in Islam and it’s though we will only perform good deeds in our daily life. If you ever wondering why muslims must commit good deeds? here is the Quran verse of why muslims should commit it:
“Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer – We will surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward (in the Hereafter) according to the best of what they used to do. (QS. An-Nahl – 97)
In good deeds especially, there are several deeds which are classified as the most rewarding deeds in Islam.

Thus, in this article we will discuss about the most rewarding deeds in Islam muslims should know.
1. Offer prayer in their early stated times
Abdullah bin Mas’ud said in the following hadith,
“I asked the Prophet SAW, which deed is loved most by Allah? He replied, ‘To offer the prayers at their early stated times. Abdullah bin Mas’ud asked,
‘What is next in goodness?’ The Prophet SAW said, ‘To be good and dutiful to one’s parents.’ Abdullah bin Mas’ud asked, ‘What is next in goodness?’ The Prophet SAW said, ‘To struggle for Allah’s cause.’
It is clear that praying in their early stated times and not procrastinate it, is most rewarded deeds muslims should do at first.

2. Praying in the Mosque
If we offering prayer in the mosque which is the house of Allah we will be given by many rewards. Prophet Muhammad SAW said in the following hadith:
“Whoever goes to the mosque in the morning and evening, Allah will prepare for him an honorable place in the Paradise every time he goes and comes.” (Bukhari)
Muslims is recommended to perform prayer in mosque, by doing it then it will as well as glorifying the house of Allah SWT. And the rewards is indeed clear as mentioned in the above hadith, opportuniy of entering Paradise. [AdSense-B]
3. Devotion to parents
Muslims know the importance of devotion to parents in Islam. Devotion to parents is by kind to them, honored them, treat them well, give them loves and help them.
We know that our parents have been struggling on growing us, give us our needs, giving us both physical, spiritual, and educational adequacy. There are some verse mentioned about devotion as most rewarding deeds in Islam,
“And We have enjoined upon man (care) for his parents. His mother carried him, (increasing her) in weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents, to Me is the (final) destination.” (QS. Luqman : 14)
“Say, ‘Come, I will recite what your Lord has probihited to you. (He commands) that you not associate anything with Him, and to parents, good treatment, and do not kill your children out of poverty, We will provide for you and them….(QS. Al-An’am : 151)
Devotion to parents is a good deeds that anyone can perform anytime, even if their parents have passed away they still can give a devotion to parents through dua and praying. That is the best muslims among all.
4. Attending and offering Funeral Prayer
[AdSense-A] Attending funeral prayer especially someone close to us, related to us such as neighbour, relatives, friends, and so forth is a most rewarding deeds in Islam.
It’s not only about give them our condolences but it also part of respect, care, and our support for the families left behind.
Rasulullah SAW said in one of His hadiths :
“Whoever attends a funeral until he offers the (funeral) prayer will have one qiraat (of reward) and whoever attends until the burial is done will have two qiraats. It was asked : What are two qiraats? He said : like two great mountains.” (Bukhari)
The reward as mentioned above is equal to a mountain. Attending a funeral also our greatest reminder of the life after death and it will increase our faith to Allah SWT. As muslims it is also our duty to learn the rules of funeral prayer in Islam that we offer during attending funeral.
5. Glorifying Allah
Performing dhikr and glorifying Allah is also the most rewarding deeds in Islam. It is a form of human obedience to its Creator.
The Prophet SAW said in the following hadith,
“Whoever says Subhan Allah wa bi Hamdih (Praise and Glory be to Allah) one hundred times, morning and evening, his sins will be erased even if they are like the foam of the sea.” (Bukhari)
“Whoever says Laa ilaaha ill-Allah wadahu laa shareeka lah, lahu’l-mulk wa lahu’l-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli sya’in qadeer one hundred times in a day, it will be as if he freed ten slaves, and one hundred hasanaat (good deeds) will be recorded for him, and it will be a protection for him against the Shatan all that day until evening comes. No one can do anything better than that except one who does more.” (Bukhari & Muslim)
Performing dhikr also a way to prevent ourselves for commiting sins. It is also a form of grateful to Allah SWT for what He has commenced upon us. As mentioned in the Quran verse below:
“O you, who have believed, eat from the good things which We have provided for you and be grateful to Allah if it is (indeed) Him that you worship.” (QS. Al-Baqarah : 172)
Other most rewarding deeds in Islam are recitating Qur’an, replyng to Adhaan, always ask for forgiveness to Allah SWT every day, and upholding the ties of kinship (hospitality) towards others. You can read also Benefits of Good Deeds in Islam.
Rasulullah said in one of His hadith,
“Whoever would like his provision to be increased and his lifespan extended, let him uphold his ties of kinship.” (Bukhari)
The rewards of those deeds is great, and we can commit it everytime we want. It’s not hard to be done, but it’s need sincerity. As mentioned in the above hadith that the reward is increasing our provision and moreover it make us calm and happy also extending our lifespan.
