Allah SWT said in the following surah,
“Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women, the obidient men and obidient women, the truthful men and truthful women, the patient men and patient women, the humble men and humble women, the charitable men and charitable women, the fasting men and fasting women, the men who guard their private parts and the women who do so, and the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so – for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.” (QS. Al-Ahzab : 35)
Dhikr means we remember Allah SWT, both in the form of verbal and deed. Everything we do, we always base it with an intention of nothing else just to get blessing from Allah SWT. Increase on remembering Allah SWT during our life in this world, since this is a differentiator. As in a hadith it is already explained as follow :
“The parable of the one who remembers his Lord with those who do not remember his Lord is like one who lives with the dead.” (Narrated by Al-Bukhari)
The virtue of dhikr to Allah SWT that we perform both verbaly or by deeds, that we do it all day in the morning, day, evening, even night are as follow :
1. Sufficient for everything
That means, we never really know everything except by the will of Allah The Knowing since Allah SWT is much more aware of what we do not know. Even what we need is only Allah SWT who is much more knowing. So, when we always peform dhikr, Allah will fulfill of everything we need either in form or anything else that sometimes we do not even realize it. 2. Will Put in Heaven
Fro Syaddad bin Aus RA, he said that Rasulullah SAW said that means :
“Whoever recite this dhikr in the daytime in a state full of faith, then he died on that day before the afternoon, then he included as inhabitants of heaven. And whoever speaks it at night in a state full of faith, then he dies before dawn (fajr), then he includes as inhabitants of heaven.” (Narrated by Bukhari)
Meanwhile the related dhikr is (recite 1 time) :
That means :
“O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god had the right to worship but You, You created me. I am Your servant. I will be faithful to my covenant to You (ie to observe obedience and stay away from Your prohibition) as best I can and I am sure of Your promise (in the form of reward). I take refuge in you from the badness I am doing. I confess Your blessings to me and I confess my sins. Therefore, forgive me. There is no one who forgives sins except You.”

In a history, dhikr is always recite either morning, noon, or night to make someone get the blessing of Allah SWT on the Judgment Day later. With with the blessing of Allah, it means our sins are forgiven and ease our way to heaven.
An example of good dhikr to be perform for the blessing of Allah SWT is :

“I am pleased that Allah SWT is my Lord, Islam as religion, and Muhammad SAW as the Prophet (sent by Allah SWT).” (recite 3 times)
4. Get an Honour as The Best Human in The Judgement Day
From Abu Hurairah RA, he said that Rasulullah SAW said that means :
“Whoever uttered the phrase ‘subhanallah wa bi hamdih’ in the morning and afternoon as much as 100 x, then no one came on the Judgment Day better than he did except people who say something like that or more. “(Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim)
