Sins can create someone life became void, meaningless, and make them evil that harm other people.
There are most destructive sins in Islam that we must avoid to prevent us from the Hellfire and the great punishment from Allah SWT.
These sins has a great impact for people and already mentioned in the Quran and hadith. If minor sins can be pardoned since the major sins including the most destructive sins is very hard to pardoned by Allah SWT.
“If you avoid the major sins which are forbidden. We will remove from you your lesser sins and admit you to a noble entrance (into Paradise).” (QS. An-Nisa : 31)
And what are these most destructive sins in Islam? That muslims strongly forbidden to commit it. Here are some explanation about most destructive sins in Islam. Read also about How to Repent in Islam from Major Sins.
1. Shirk (associating others with Allah SWT)
Shirk is the greatest sins, whoever perform this sins will have no hope of forgiveness. And if we die in the state of shirk we will be placed in the Hell forever.
“They have certainly disbelieved who say, ‘Allah is the Messiah, the son of Mary.’ while the Messiah has said, ‘O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.’
Indeed, he who associates others with Allah – Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers.” (QS. Al-Ma’idah : 72)
Isn’t destructive enough for human? Conducting shikr as mentioned above will close the gate to paradise for human. The impact of conducting shirk is great since it lead the person itself and others into astray. It will also make all of our good deeds became vain.
“And it was already revealed to you and those before you that if you should associate (anything) with Allah, your work would surely become worthless, and you would surely be among the losers.” (QS. Az-Zumar : 65)

Some scholar said that magic is worshipping the jinn and satan, seeking for their protection and power to gain benefits. Allah SWT said in the following verse :
“And they followed (instead) what the devils had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic and that which was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Harut and Marut. But the two angels do not teach anyone unless they say,
‘We are trial, so do not disbelieve (by practicing magic).’ And (yet) they learn from them that which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah.
And the people learn what harms them and does not benefit them. But the Children of Israel certainly knew that whoever purchased the magic would not have in the Hereafter any share. And wretched is that for which they sold themselves, if they only knew.” (QS. Al-Baqarah : 102)
The punishment of magic is great since Allah won’t give any share for us in paradise or hereafter. It is also said that whoever goes to fortune teller and ask something their prayer won’t be accepted for 40 days and nights.
