Human often fail to overcome the fear of ghosts. There are many cause of it, such as paranoia or watching horror movies often. Here are the tips to overcome fear of ghosts in Islam.
“If Allah helps you, none can overcome you: If He forsakes you, who is there, after that, that can help you? In Allah, then, let believers put their trust.” (3:160)
Truly, there is no protection is better than the one comes from Allah SWT. Whenever you feel the fear of anything, ask for protection from Allah SWT. “Those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, and establish regular prayers and regular charity, will have their reward with their Lord: on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.” (2:277)
Those whose faith in Allah is great will not feel any fear of anything inside their heart. Improve your faith in Allah SWT by worshiping Him with a sincere heart and purity. Without you asking, Allah SWT will give you shelter and protection from Shaytan, including the fear they plant on your heart.
“On the day that every soul shall find present what it has done of good and what it has done of evil, it shall wish that between it and that (evil) there were a long duration of time; and Allah makes you to be cautious of (retribution from) Himself; and Allah is Compassionate to the servants.” (3:30)
Ghosts are often associated with deceased persons. However, death is just another phase in life that all of us will be going through someday. “Indeed We created man from dried clay of black smooth mud. And We created the Jinn before that from the smokeless flame of fire.” (15:26-27)
Jinn had been the biggest enemy of mankind ever since the day when Prophet Adam (AS) was created. Jinn and Shaytan had promised to lure the children of Adam into their trap and make them far away from Allah SWT. Fear of ghost is something that Jinn and Shaytan created to gain their purpose.

“If you had all relied on Allah (SWT) as you should rely on Him, then He would have provided for you as He provides for the birds, who wake up hungry in the morning and return with full stomachs at dusk.”
One more good tips to overcome fear of ghost in Islam: rely only to Allah SWT. Ghosts, along with Jinn and Shaytan will not exist unless Allah SWT allowed them to. “This is the Book (the Quran), whereof there is no doubt, guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqoon [the pious]” (2:2)
Seek for guidance and shelter from Allah SWT through the verses of Quran. Insya Allah Quran can be the best remedy to overcome your fear. Recite Quran daily, even it’s only one or two pages. Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Allah says, “I treat My servant as he hopes that I would treat him. I am with him whenever he remembers Me: if he thinks of Me, I think of him; if he mentions Me in company, I mention him in an even better company. If he draws near to Me a hand’s span, I draw near to him an arm’s length; and if he draws near to Me an arm’s length, I draw closer by a distance of two outstretched arms nearer to him; and if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running.” (Bukhari and Muslim)
Remembrance of Allah can be done in many way, and the most convenient one is dhikr. You can do dhikr everywhere and every time.
Why should you have to fear of ghosts, while you are the most perfect of Allah’s creation? Allah created human with brain and mind so that they can overcome their fear of ghosts.
