Ramadan also Romanized as Romazan, Ramadhan, or Ramathan), is the ninth month in Islam calendar (Hijriyah), and celebrated for all of moslem around the world with fasting (Saum).

- The Month of Ramadan in Which was Revealed Al-Qur’an

- Heaven Doors are Opened than Hell Doors are Closed
The Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu alaihi wa sallam, says that :
“when coming the month of Ramadan, the doors of the heavens are opened, and the doors of hell shall be closed, and the demons shall be bound” (Bukhari and Muslim).

“whoever establishes the night prayer (Tarawih) in Ramadan on the basis of faith and expects the rewards of Allah SWT then he will be forgiven of his past sins” (Muttafaqun’Alaihi).

“on Friday prayer to the next, and one Ramadan fasting to the next Ramadan will wipe out the small sins between them if he leaves behind big sins” (Muslim, Ahmad).
- Shadaqah in Ramadan
Shadaqah or Alms in Ramadan is one of some charities that have to do for every moslem who can to do. In fact, The Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu alaihi wa sallam is included people who the most generous in Ramadan. Based on hadith from Ibn Abbas Radhiallahu anhu that :
“The Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu alaihi wa sallam was the most generous, and more generous when Ramadan. When he meet Jibril Alaihi sallam wo visited him every night in Ramadan, and taught him Al-Qur’an, so indeed The Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu alaihi wa sallam was more generous in doing good that the wind blow” [HR. Bukhari].
Indeed, Shadaqah in Ramadan has special things and advantages, and the forms of Shadaqah in Ramadan is :
- Giving Food
Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala explained about giving food to the poor and need,
“and they give the food they love to the poor, orphans and captives. Verily we give you food only to expect the good pleasure of Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala, we do not want to reward of you nor the (thanks) thank you, verily we fear out Lord on a day when those who are surly are troubled. So the Lord kept them from the trouble of that day, and gave them the charity (face) and the joy of the heart, and he rewarded them for their patience (with) heaven and (clothing) silk” [QS. An-Nisa : 8 – 12].
- Giving food for the fast
The Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu alaihi wa sallam said :
“whoever gives the fasting fast, for him the reward of the fasted man without deducting from the slightest reward” [HR. Ahmad and Nasni].
And in the hadith Salman Radhiallahu anhu, “who feeds the fasting man in the month of Ramadan, then is forgiven his sin, freed from hell. And for him the reward of the fasted man without any deduction from his reward”.
- Reading Al-Qur’an

One of the recommended practices to be improved is to increase the reading of Al-Qur’an. In addition double charities in the month of Ramadan, reading a single letter in Al-Qur’an will be given ten goodness, even for those who stammer given two rewards. Based on the following hadith :
“the one who reads Al-Qur’an with skill is with the noble angles again obedient, while the one who recites Al-Qur’an stammered and hard to read for him two rewards” [hadith Muttafaqun’Alaihi].
- I’tikaf in Lately Ramadan
I’tikaf is a solitary activity prescribed by religion, for a mu’takif (a person who I’tikaf) confines himself in order to increase obedience to Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala and forger the worldly activities that occupy. Mu’takif confined himself, and expect the blessings of Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala.
- Umrah in Ramadan
Umrah included in the Sunnah of The Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu alaihi wa sallam recommended to be done during the month of Ramadan, even the reward as steady as the pilgrimage. Based on the hadith of The Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu alaihi wa sallam which read :
“Umrah in Ramadan resembles Hajj” [HR. Al Bukhari and Muslim],

Especially when the best prayer time like the following circumstances :
- When breaking fast, because a person who fasts when he break has a prayer that is not rejected
- The last third of the night when Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala descended to the heavens and said,
“is there anyone who asks, surely I give. Have anypne istighfar, surely I forgive him”,
- Istighfar at sahoor, as Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala says,
“and in the last night they ask forgiveness (to Allah)” (Surah Az-Zariyat : 18).
- Saved Fasting For Full Rewards in Ramadan
What is meant to keep our fast is the effort to make our fasting merits intact. Two ways we should do in relation to this, namely undergoing the Sunnah fasting, and away from things that can reduce the rewards and wisdom of fasting. The Sunnah fasting, among others is to end the meal and hasten the breaking.

Maintain fasting also by away from all attitudes and actions that will reduce the blessing of our fast, such as : anger useless, emotional, lying in words, ghibah or zina in general.
