Married is something that highly recommended in Islam, since it’s include as good deeds according to Islam, and a form of sunnah recommended by Rasulullah SAW. The purpose of marriage in Islam is to continue an offspring, meet the needs of human instinct and completed the worship to Allah SWT. And that already written in the following surah :
“And Allah has made for you from yourselves mates and has made for you from your mates sons and grandchildren and has provided for you from the good thins. Then in falsehood do they believe and in the favor of Allah they disbelieve?” (QS. An-Nahl : 72)
Moreover, Islam encourages its people to getting married when they are capable and ready both physically and mentally since there are lot of extraordinary benefits on getting married in Islam. But sometimes, generally, couples who are ready for getting married often postpone their marriage due to several factors, and one of them is yet to find a good day or time. Determination of a good day to marry is nothing based on Islam marriage procedures or even the terms of marriage in Islam, and even in the source of Islamic shari’a (law) were no argument or hadith that requires his people to make a wedding based on a particular day or month.
However in Islam there are several months that have a privilege and a virtue to hold a marriage, fasting or other sunnah. One of the few months that has such privileges is Rajab month.
But what we have to consider first before getting married is the purpose on it. As its mentioned on the following surah :
“So direct your face toward the religion, inclining the truth. (Adhere to) the fitrah of Allah upon which He has created (all) people. No change should there be in the creation of Allah. That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know. (QS. Ar-Rum : 30)
And also in the following hadith :
“Have you really said here and there, really for the sake of Allahx, I am really the most fearful and pious of you. But I fasted and I broke, I prayed and I also slept and I also married women. So whoever does not like my sunnah, then he does not belong to my class” (Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim)
From the above hadith we have to kept in mind that the aim on getting married is to get and offspring, performing the sunnah of The Prophet, and to complete and increase our worship to Allah SWT. Read also : purpose of marriage in Islam
Why is Rajab month became a virtue one? It is because month of Rajab is one of the forbidden (haram) month in Islam. And this forbidden month is a noble month according to Islam.
On one of the hadith, Rasulullah SAW said that :
“A year revolves as it has been since Allah created the heavens and the earth. One year has twelve months. Among them are four forbidden months (holy). Three months in a row are Dzulqo’dah, Dzulhijjah and Muharram. (One more month is Rajab Mudhor that lie between Jumadil (end) and Sha’ban.” (Narrated by Bukhari)

The meaning of the forbidden month in the hadith is, that month is forbidden to commit a sin, such as murder or other sinful acts. Actually as Muslims we are forbidden to commit sins at any time, not only on a certain month, but in those forbidden months it is more emphasized so that we do not conducting sin. Since indeed in the forbidden month are very good for Muslims on performing good deeds and obedience.

The matter of a good time for getting married actually is not necessary and does not emphasized in Islam, since all days and months in Islam are in fact a good time, no day or month to bring evil or badness according to Islam.
However, there are still a lot of people who choose certain days and months to marry because it is considered as the best and do not bring badness. Later on they avoid days or months that are considered bad and could bring any bad luck, trusting on it is not justified and included into shirk based on Islam.
Performing marriage on the month of Rajab give a lot of virtue that is :
1. Married At a Special Time

2. Married In The Month Close to The Month of Ramadan
Between Rajab and Ramadan only separated with only one month. And in (Narrated by Ahmad), it is said, the scholars pray:
“O Allah bless us in the month of Rajab and Sha’ban and bless us in the month of Ramadan.”

3. Month of Rajab is a Month of Isra’ Mi’raj

So, as a good Muslim, you should not believe in a good or bad day or month, since it belongs as performing shirk. And the good or bad luck that befalls on a person is not based on the proper day or month, but it is in the power of Allah SWT, for He is the Almighty over all that is happening in the world and all beneat it.
