15 Virtues of Feeding The Poor in Islam
We are created in this world as social beings, naturally for those who live well and are able to share happiness with them – the less fortunate and the short of life.

Thus the help of Allah ta’ala will be given to every useful servant who provides assistance to his Muslim brother in good and piety.
1. Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala has a helpful nature, [QS Ghafir / 40: 51, Rum / 30: 47 and elsewhere] and Allah ta’ala is the best helper
The above hadith explains that one of Allah’s ta’ala’s attributes is the Helper, that is to help His righteous servants and need their help, either in the world, nature barzakh or later on the Day of Resurrection. The verses of the Qur’an many describe the nature of this glorious ta’ala Allah in several places.
فإن تولوا فاعلموا المولى و نعم النصير
“And if they turn away, then know that Allah is your Guardian. He is the best protector and Best helper”. [QS al-Anfal / 8: 40 and which is al-Hajj / 22: 78].
Saying al-Shaykh Abu Bakr Jabir al-Jaza’iriy hafizhohullah,
“(And The best helper) is Helper for you as long as you become His guardians of whom you live above faith and piety”.
2. The one who deserves God’s help Jalla wa Ala is every servant who loves to help his brother

Or guard and defend his glory, give Khutbah and spirit for him, give tuition fees for his children, and besides that Allah Almighty will later repay his kindness with the form of giving aid for him when he is in desperate need of help from Him.
Or Allah ta’ala will help him later when he needs help from Him in nature barzakh from slander and adzab grave or on the Day of Resurrection from difficulties and adzab hell.
Especially if the Muslim servant has the nature and habits of trying to meet all the needs of his brother as well as possible without being asked or warned. So Allah ta’ala will undoubtedly meet all his needs in the world and life afterwards.
And the promise of Allah Azza wa Jalla is true and will surely be fulfilled for the one who deserves His promise.
3. Suggestions for always giving help to those in need of help from the poor, orphans and others

4. The words of the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam is a guide for his people to always be kind and attentive to his brothers in various ways
For the guidance and guidance of the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam is the best guidance, bringing to the good and the truth, avoiding the various evils and falsehoods and leading to a straight path and a heaven of pleasure.
Islam is a very perfect religion that no longer needs to perfection, for nothing can bring and bring its adherents to heaven or keep away and prevent its adherents from hell but has been explained to them.
5. The glorious Qur’an has set for every Muslim to help each other in kindness and piety
و تعاونوا على البر و التقوى
“And please-help you in doing good and piety”. [QS al-Maidah / 5: 2].
Saying al-Hafiz Ibn Kathirah rahimahullah,
“Allah ta’ala has ordered His believing servants to help each other to do good and leave munkness that is piety. And it has also forbidden them from helping to help in evil and helping each other in sin and forbidden things “.
So please help it only in good deeds and piety. The good deed is every practice that is liked and ridho by Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala and commanded or exemplified by the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam.
So any one among the Muslims is in need of help, so should his brother immediately help him without delay, help him unconditionally to him and help him without calculation to him.
6. If you want to always get God help ta’ala then get used to help others in good and with full sincerity
و يطعمون الطعام على حبه مسكينا و يتيما و أسيرا إنما نطعمكم لوجه الله لا نريد منكم جزاء و لا شكورا
“And they give the food they love to the poor, orphans and captives. Indeed, we give you food only to expect the love of God, we do not want the reward of you nor thanks (thanks)”. [QS al-Insan / 76: 8-9].
They feed the needy of the poor, orphans and captives. They are foods they still like not stale or unfit foods to eat and eat. As for their purpose is to reach and obtain the mercy of Allah ta’ala alone, not to expect a reward from the person they feed and not to say thank you.
7. Allah Almighty will surely fulfill His promise because He never breaks the promise. [QS Rum / 30: 6, az-Zumar / 39: 20 and elsewhere]

8. Get Food and Drink From Heaven
“Whoever believes to feed a hungry believer, on the Day of Judgment God will give him food from the fruit of heaven. Whoever mukmin who gave the thirsty drinkers a drink, on the Day of Judgment God will give him a drink from the drink of heaven.
Any believer who gives other believers clothes is not naked, on the Day of Judgment Allah will give him the clothes from the jewelry of heaven. “(HR Tirmizi).
9. Get The Shade of Allah SWT on The Day of Reckoning
“The three cases whoever is on him, will later be sheltered by God under his arsy on the day there is no shade except his shade. That is, performing ablution in cold weather, coming to the mosque even though it is dark, and feeding the hungry. “(HR Abu Muslim al-Ashbahani).
10. Get to Heaven Safely
From Abu Yusuf namely Abdullah Ibn Salam ra. said:

11. The Opportunity to Harvest The Abundant Reward
From Abu Sa’id of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, he said,
“Do not be friends except with the believers, and do not eat your food except the righteous.” (Narrated by Abu Daud, 4832, Tirmidhi, no 2395 ; Ahmad, 3:38, Ibn Hibban)
Hadith above can have meaning if we treat the devotee, then he will be stronger worship. That way you will come to harvest the reward. Unlike if you treat a virtuoso, the food we give can lead them to crime / disobedience. Of course this can endanger our own, unless we do not know.
12. Feeding is Among The Best in Islam
It is reported that a man asked Rasulullah SAW,
“What is the best thing in Islam?” So the Prophet replied, “That you feed others, and you say hello to the people you know and who do not you know”. (Bukhari, Muslim).
13. It is one of The Actions that Causes a Person to Enter Heaven
Narrated from Abu Hurairah Ra. he said, I said,
“O Messenger of Allah, if I see you then my soul will be calm and my heart is happy. Tell me about everything “.
Rasulullah Saw. said,
“Everything is created from water”.
I said again,
“Tell me of something that if I do then I will go to heaven?”
The apostle replied,

14. Feeding is an Act that can Take Away Sins and Bring Mercy
It is narrated that Allah SWT. will enter the three human classes into heaven simply by giving a piece of bread, a date, or something like that. The three groups are: the person who tells the charity, the wife who infaq property of her husband well, and the maid who deliver food to the poor. (HR Thabrani).
15. The one who feeds others will be under the auspices of God on the Day of Judgement
Narrated from Jabir ibn Abdillah Ra. he said, that the Messenger of Allah. said,
ثلاث من كن فيه أظله الله عز وجل تحت عرشه يوم لا ظل إلا المكاره, والمشي إلى المسجد فى الظلم وإطعام الجائع
“There are three things, which if man will do it, then God will shelter under his throne on a day when there is no shade other than his shelter; That is to keep performing ablution (perfect) in unpleasant conditions (winter), walking to the mosque in the dark, and feeding to the hungry”.
