Virtues of Praying Dhuha in Ramadhan

Dhuha is one of others sunnah prayer which is done when the sun is rise until it noon.  Aisyah Radhiallahu being asked, “

أ كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يصلي الضحى؟ فقالت نعم أربع ركعات ويزيد ما شاء الله

“Did Rasulullah SAW once doing of dhuha prayer? She answered,” Yes, 4 rakaat and it can be added as of Allah SWT wish.”  (HR. Ibnu Majah, Muslim, and Ahmad).

1. Getting rewards as if we are doing Hajj and Umroh

Anas bin Malik said that Rasulullah SAW once mentioned,

“ Those who are doing Subh prayer in a pilgrim then continued it to dzikr (remember) Allah SWT until the sun rise and then continue it to pray 2 rakaat, he will get rewards as if as doing Hajj and Umroh in perfectly, perfectly and perfectly.”  

 

(Hasan: Shahih At-Tirmidzi, no 480, 586; Shahih At-Targhib wa AT-Tarhib, no. 464; Ash-Shahihah, no. 3403). (Being shahih by Al-Albani). In another hadidh, Abu Umamah and ‘Utbah bin ‘Abd narrated that Rasulullah SAW said,” Those who are doing Subh praying at the mosque in a pilgrim and stay there until the Dhuha prayer, he will get rewards as if as doing Hajj and Umroh in perfectly. 2. Rewards of charity

Abu Dzar al-Ghifari RA mentioned that the Prophet of Muhammad SAW said,

” Inside of yourself contain charity, each prayer beads (say subhanallah) is charity, every tahmid (say Alhamdulillah) is charity, every tahlil (say lailahaillallah) is also charity, every takbir is charity, inform someone to do goodness is charity, avoid the badness is also charity. 2 rakaat of Dhuha prayer will be given rewards.” (HR. Muslim)

3. Huge advantages

Abdullah bin `Amr bin `Ash radhiyallahu `anhuma said :

Rasulullah SAW sends an army,” earn the winner (ghanimah) and return soon!”

Rasulullah SAW said,

“Do you mind if I show you the nearest place that our enemy will come? The most ghanimah (advantages) you will receive and return soon (because of the distance).

They answered,” Yes!”

Rasulullah SAW said,” Those who are wudhu and then go to the mosque for Dhuha, he is the closest one with his destination (the war place), the more ghanimah and will return soon.”(Shahih Al-Targhib:666)

4. Fulfill of his needs

Abu Darda’ Ra said that Rasulullah SAW mentioned:

Allah Ta’ala said,” Dear the son of Adam, pray for me 4 rakaat from the beginning of the day, then I shall sufficient your needs (rewards) in the afternoon.” (Shahih Al-Jami:433). [AdSense-A]

5. Receive of forgiveness

Rasulullah SAW said,

“Those who are doing Dhuha prayer in a long term, he will be forgiven all of his sins even it is as much as foam in the sea.” (HR Tirmidzi).

6. Receive a home in heaven

The prophet of Muhammad SAW,

” Those who do Dhuha prayer as 4 rakaat and other 4 rakaat before it, he shall be built a house in heaven.” (Shahih Al-Jami’: 634)

7. Made a special door in heaven

Abu Hurairah RA  mentioned that Rasulullah SAW said,

” Indeed, there is a door in heaven named Dhuha door, when the doomsday come, the angel of heaven will calling; who is doing the Dhuha prayer? This is your door and please come inside in the name of Allah SWT.” (HR. Thabrani).

8. Double rewards suitable with the number of rakaat

Abi Dzar RA said that Rasulullah SAW mentioned,

“ When you doing 2 rakaat of Dhuha prayer, you shall not be noted as negligent ummat, or 4 rakaat then you shall be noted as muhsinin (the good ummat), or 6 rakaat and you shall be noted as obedient ummat, or 8 rakaat and you shall be noted as great ummat (successful), or 10 rakaat then all your sins will not be recorded, or 12 rakaat then Allah SWT will build you a house in heaven.”

9. Belongs to those who are returning to Allah SWT

Abu Hurairah Radhiyallahu’anhu shared a story;

“There is none who maintain his Dhuha prayer except those who are returning to Allah SWT (awwaab).” He said, “This is the prayer to whom they shall return to Allah SWT (awwaabin).”

10. Accomplish mandatory prayers

Rasulullah SAW said,

” Honestly, the first time to be calculated from us at the doomsday is our praying. When he did his prayer correctly, he will pass and lucky, when he is ruining his prayer he will disappoint and loss. If there is founded some shortfall in his mandatory prayer, Allah SWT said,” Be noticed when my ummat is having sunnah prayers, make his sunnah prayer is perfectly to coverage his shortfall in his mandatory prayer. 11. Charities loved by Allah SWT

Rasulullah SAW from Aisyah,”

أَحَبُّ الأَعْمَالِ إِلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى أَدْوَمُهَا وَإِنْ قَلَّ

“The most charities loved by Allah SWT is the continue charities even it is a small one.”

12. Following the Prophet of Muhammad SAW advices

Abu Huairah said,”

أَوْصَانِى خَلِيلِى – صلى الله عليه وسلم – بِثَلاَثٍ صِيَامِ ثَلاَثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ ، وَرَكْعَتَىِ الضُّحَى ، وَأَنْ أُوتِرَ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَنَامَ

“My dear Prophet of Muhammad SAW entrust 3 advices to me: [1] Do fasting for 3 days every month, [2] Do Dhuha prayer 2 rakaat, [3], Do witr before go to bed.”

13. Belongs to the repent person

Rasulullah SAW said,

“No one is always doing the Dhuha prayer unless he has been categorized as repentant person.” (HR. Hakim)

Once after the Dhuha prayer, it is recommend to read:

اللَّهُمَّ إنَّ الضُّحَى ضَحَاؤُك وَالْبَهَا بَهَاؤُك وَالْجَمَالُ جَمَالُك وَالْقُوَّةُ قُوَّتُك وَالْقُدْرَةُ قُدْرَتُك وَالْعِصْمَةُ عِصْمَتُك اللَّهُمَّ إنْ كَانَ رِزْقِي فِي السَّمَاءِ فَأَنْزِلْهُ وَإِنْ كَانَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَأَخْرِجْهُ وَإِنْ كَانَ مُعْسِرًا فَيَسِّرْهُ وَإِنْ كَانَ حَرَامًا فَطَهِّرْهُ وَإِنْ كَانَ بَعِيدًا فَقَرِّبْهُ بِحَقِّ ضَحَائِكَ وَبِهَائِك وَجَمَالِك وَقُوَّتِك وَقُدْرَتِك آتِنِي مَا آتَيْت عِبَادَك الصَّالِحِينَ

“Dear my Lord, indeed, the Dhuha time is your Dhuha, the greatest is your greatest, the beauty is your beauty, and the strength is your strength, the guardian is your guardian. Dear God, if my fortune is at the sky, please bring it down to me, when it is in the earth, then please pull it out, when it is tough, then make it is easier, when it is forbidden, then make it purify, when it is far away, then please make it closer with all your Dhuha truth, your authority (dear God), please bring it to me those on what you give to your soleh ummat.”     

We are recommended to do regularly this sunnah prayers based on the procedures of implementation of Dhuha prayer.
