12 Tips to Get a Good Time Management in Islam
Man has 24 hours a day but they often feel short of time. Why? Because they don’t use their time wisely. Managing time is important to make sure that you have made the most out of it. Here are some tips to get a good time management in Islam.
- Wake Up Early in the Morning
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “O Allah, bless my nation in their early mornings (i.e., what they do early in the morning).” [Ibn Majah]

- Prioritize the Daily Prayers
Narrated Al-Aswad bin Yazid: I asked ‘Aisha(may Allāh be pleased with her) “What did the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) do at home?” She said, “He used to work for his family, and when he heard the adhan (call for the prayer), he would go out.” [Bukhari]
No matter how busy your life is, there’s no reason to skip Salah. In fact, you have to adjust your schedule with daily prayers time so you can perform the prayers on time. Remember that works and other worldly things are merely temporary and nothing more than distraction to drive you away from Allah SWT.

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) having said: “Hasten to do good deeds before six things happen: the rising of the sun from the west, the smoke, the Dajjal, the beast and (the death) of one of you or the general turmoil.” [Muslim]
There are many kind of goodness and doing good in Islam, and one of them is by not procrastinating. Instead of delaying your task for unnecessary things, it’s more important for you to finish them. It’s how you can spend your time by doing good.
- Respect Other People’s Time
You’re not the only one in the world who want to make the most of their time. Everyone else also cherish their time so you have to be considerate as well. - Get Rid of Distractions
Staying away won’t affect you that much, but getting rid completely would. Turn off the notifications for your phone and other gadgets when you are focusing to finish your work.
- Start with the Most Important Task
