Islam strictly prohibited any intimate contact between two Muslims who are not married yet. Muslims are taught to lower their eyes to avoid fitnah. While touching opposite sex is a sin for unmarried couple, what about after marriage.

- Passionate Kissing is Sunnah
Aisha (Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) would kiss one of his wives and then leave for prayer (salat) without performing ablution (wudu). Urwa says that I asked A’isha: “It must have been you?” (Upon hearing this) A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) smiled.”(Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, al-Nasa’i)
Our Prophet (peace be upon him) was a romantic person who likes to show intimacy with his wives. From Aisha’s narration above, it becomes clear to us that he also liked to kiss wife and turns out is doesn’t break his purity at all.
- Intimacy is Encouraged in Islam
It was said that marriage is half of the religion. There is a good reason for that: everything that husband and wife do can be counted as good deed. A pleasuring good deed a marriage couple can do is showing intimacy to each other.
In fact, it’s a strongly recommended act for marriage couple. Kissing, cuddling, saying sweet things to each other is among the form of intimacy. French kiss is considered as intimacy, thus it is never forbidden in Islam.

He said: “A virgin or a non-virgin?” I said: “A non-virgin”. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “Why not a virgin so that you may play with her and she can play with you?” (Bukhari)

- Kissing is Allowed During Fast
Aisha (Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) would kiss her whilst he was fasting (refer to the fiqh of kissing during fast) and he would suck her tongue.” (Abu Dawood)
Fasting is a deed where a Muslim should hold back his desire, including sexual desire. But to kiss your legitimate spouse during fast is allowed. It will not break the fast, as explained on the hadith below.
- French Kiss is Permissible
From the long explanation above, it’s safe to say that French kiss permissible. It’s an intimacy between a husband and wife, and also highly rewarded. - All Kind of Intimacy is Halal Except for Two
“It is harm, so keep away from wives during menstruation. And do not approach them until they are pure. And when they have purified themselves, then come to them from where Allah has ordained for you. Indeed, Allah loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves. (2:222)
Any kind of intimacy is halal except doing intercourse when the wife is on period or doing anal sex. It’s enough as proof that French kiss is not among prohibited intimacy between husband and wife.
