20 Qurani Ayat for Rizq – Extremely Effective

As a Muslim, our duty besides being a leader or caliph is to seek sustenance, especially the ones who are kosher or halal. There are so many ways to get it in halal, by doing (in example work) is the ultimate thing. But as the creation of Allah SWT, we have to balance it by praying to Him, so the way we reach the rizki is being easy. Here are 20 verses of Qurani Ayat for Rizq that can facilitate us in seeking livelihoods.

1. Ar-Ra’d verse 11

“For each one are successive [angels] before and behind him who protect him by the decree of Allah . Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. And when Allah intends for a people ill, there is no repelling it. And there is not for them besides Him any patron.”

In this verse, Allah tells that people’s life can’t change until we change itself. If we are lazy or not be passionate to work, change it not to be lazy, although it is little bit hard to be passionate for anything that we work, which is we are not like it very much. It will help us to find rizq and believe it when Allah will guarantee anything in this world.

2. Al Baqarah verse 60

“And [recall] when Moses prayed for water for his people, so We said, “Strike with your staff the stone.” And there gushed forth from it twelve springs, and every people knew its watering place. “Eat and drink from the provision of Allah, and do not commit abuse on the earth, spreading corruption.””

In this verse, Allah SWT explain that He was spreading all of rizq around the world. The only thing that we do is just find it, with halal or kosher way, but not abuse or damaging the environment; it is suitable with word ‘do not commit abuse on the earth’. Moreover, do not corrupt when we are looking for a rizq, because it is similar with taking other people rights.

3. Al Jumuah verse 11

“But when they saw a transaction or a diversion, [O Muhammad], they rushed to it and left you standing. Say, “What is with Allah is better than diversion and than a transaction, and Allah is the best of providers.””

Despite we are looking for rizq, we should not forget our duty to worship. As we mention in point No.1, we have to believe that Allah is the one who gave rizq, so we are no need to be worried if we left our work to worship to Allah swt.

4. Ali Imran verse 27

“You cause the night to enter the day, and You cause the day to enter the night; and You bring the living out of the dead, and You bring the dead out of the living. And You give provision to whom You will without account.”

Allah SWT has a power for all. He make night enter the day, and the contrary. He bring the life to death, and otherwise. We just have to believe that Allah rules everything, including the rizq.

5. Al Baqarah verse 254

“O you who have believed, spend from that which We have provided for you before there comes a Day in which there is no exchange and no friendship and no intercession. And the disbelievers – they are the wrongdoers.”

Anything that Allah SWT give is not only for us. We need to spend it in Allah’s way, such as zakat, shadaqah, etc. Because it needs a responsible in a Day; we will asked about what for our rizq is spent.

6. Al Mulk verse 21

“Or who is it that could provide for you if He withheld His provision? But they have persisted in insolence and aversion.

This verse implied that only Allah SWT who gave rizq to us. But someone has far away from Him, and became arrogant as they taught that no one can find a rizq instead themselves. It it need to avoid and realize that Allah is Powerful than the other.

7. An Nahl verse 71

“And Allah has favored some of you over others in provision. But those who were favored would not hand over their provision to those whom their right hands possess so they would be equal to them therein. Then is it the favor of Allah they reject?”

There are some people who had more rizq than the others. That is why we have to share to the others, which have not as much as we get, as a form of bless to Allah SWT, and they can feel what Allah gave to us. We are equal in Allah’s perspective; and only our taqwa and faith which is differentiate us.

8. Al Baqarah verse 172

“O you who have believed, eat from the good things which We have provided for you and be grateful to Allah if it is [indeed] Him that you worship.”

Allah SWT has command to us for consume and eat the halal rizq which is spread around the world. No need to be worried if it will be empty or run out, Allah SWT will provide it again.

9. Az-Zumar verse 52

“Do they not know that Allah extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it]? Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.”

To believers, Allah will provide more than the others. For not, He will restricts and provide very least. It show a sign for a people who had faith more to Allah.

10. Fathir verse 2

“Whatever Allah grants to people of mercy – none can withhold it; and whatever He withholds – none can release it thereafter. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.”

Whatever Allah provide someone, no one can hold it. We just accept it as it gonna be and use it in virtue, because everything that Allah give is good for His ummah.

11. Thaahaa verse 132

“And enjoin prayer upon your family [and people] and be steadfast therein. We ask you not for provision; We provide for you, and the [best] outcome is for [those of] righteousness.”

In this verse, there are an order to pray with our family, and be patient when we work it. Allah SWT will give the rizq as much as He want, as an outcome for the righteousness.

12. Al An’am verse 142

“And of the grazing livestock are carriers [of burdens] and those [too] small. Eat of what Allah has provided for you and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.”

This verse implied that there are some livestock for carriers and for consumed, and Allah SWT suggest to eat what He provided and not follow the Satan step, because he is clearly your enemy.

13. Hud verse 6

“And there is no creature on earth but that upon Allah is its provision, and He knows its place of dwelling and place of storage. All is in a clear register.”

This verse refers to the creature, or animal that Allah know where the animal will stay and the place that they will died. It was noted in Lauhul Mahfudz.

14. Ar-Rum verse 40

“Allah is the one who created you, then provided for you, then will cause you to die, and then will give you life. Are there any of your “partners” who does anything of that? Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him.”

There are many times that Allah SWT has power of everything : created us, provides us, make cause to die, and give us life. No one can do like Him, except Allah SWT, so we must increase our faith to Allah.

15. Saba verse 36

“”Say, “Indeed, my Lord extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it], but most of the people do not know.””

This verse is an affirmation for another verse which had similar meaning. Allah extend the provision for whom He will, but Allah restrict it to whom He won’t. These are Allah’s secret and no one knows about it.

16. Al Baqarah verse 58

“And [recall] when We said, “Enter this city and eat from it wherever you will in [ease and] abundance, and enter the gate bowing humbly and say, ‘Relieve us of our burdens.’ We will [then] forgive your sins for you, and We will increase the doers of good [in goodness and reward].””

This verse implied to people who enter or visit another city to find a rizq. It refers to people who had good intent, so they can come to eat wherever they will, with humble and demand forgiveness to Allah SWT.

17. Al Baqarah verse 212

“Beautified for those who disbelieve is the life of this world, and they ridicule those who believe. But those who fear Allah are above them on the Day of Resurrection. And Allah gives provision to whom He wills without account.”

This verse is a kind of warning for people who love the world, because it is just a test; and also superficial and temporary, but unfortunately people who not believe (or kafir in other terms), feel that it will last forever. Otherwise, they despising the believer. They forgot about the Day of Resurrection, and the believers not. For believers, Allah will provide them unlimited.

18. Al Nahl verse 112

“And Allah presents an example: a city which was safe and secure, its provision coming to it in abundance from every location, but it denied the favors of Allah. So Allah made it taste the envelopment of hunger and fear for what they had been doing.”

Allah SWT has power over everything. It is explained that He provide a city with so much blessed and gift, so they were safe and secure. However, the people in that city was ungrateful to Allah SWT. Seeing that condition, Allah swt change their condition to be hungry and fear for everything what they had do.

19. An-Nur verse 55

“Allah has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them and that He will surely establish for them [therein] their religion which He has preferred for them and that He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security, [for] they worship Me, not associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves after that – then those are the defiantly disobedient.”

This verse describe that if we want unlimited provision, we must worship to Him, doing a good deeds, etc. Insha Allah, He will give us without account and without we ask

20. An-Nisaa verse 100

“And whoever emigrates for the cause of Allah will find on the earth many [alternative] locations and abundance. And whoever leaves his home as an emigrant to Allah and His Messenger and then death overtakes him – his reward has already become incumbent upon Allah . And Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.”

This verse implied to a people who move to a better way or getting closer to Allah swt; it is called Hijrah. Allah will granted with his blessed and if someone which death overtakes him, Allah will rewards Him.

And many more verses of the Qur’ani Ayat for Rizq and sustenance. By practicing one or more of these verses, and balanced by our efforts in seeking livelihood, God willing there will be a way for us to get the rizq. Hopefully this paper will benefit all of us.
